Discovering through this Silent Hill 2 remake shit that most gamers are profoundly incurious about their favorite video games, and are exactly the same kind of dumb that Konami themselves are when it comes to video games like Silent Hill 2, only difference being that the gamers only reluctantly agree with Konamis dumb conclusions.
Huldra
I forget, was there like a transphobic scene in the films of Eddie Murphys character soliciting a trans sex worker or was that something that actually happened with Eddie Murphy?
Time for my regular activity of calling true crime -ers freaks who are into TC for purely sadistic reasons, and then immediately going to bed so I can wake up to reactionary shitflinging.
The Socialist Revolutionaries who assassinated a German diplomat in an attempt to sabotage peace talks and keep the war with Germany going?
Come on.
From my memory it was definitely more of a problem to handle than a focus of enjoyment in the gameplay.
Half the trailer feels like a pisstake, yep its peak Kojima, fucking guitar tesla coil weapon.
If Genghis Khan got to taste an LGBT he wouldnt've killed all those people.
More twitter discourse liveblogging.
Seems like some people have a real issue knowing the difference between a-social and anti-social? Someone posted a take about how its bad that we've basically accepted people playing music, watching tiktoks or having loud phone games on without headphones in enclosed spaces like public transportation, and called it antisocial.
And there were a surprising amount of people quote tweeting that with "Actually its more antisocial to wear headphones, if you listen to music without them you're really actually sharing that experience with the people around you." And aside from that being IMO a goofy ass take from someone who doesnt ride the bus, thats just literally not true by the definitions of the words, its more asocial to wear headphones and block out your surroundings, but its definitely not antisocial, as in disrupting society around you.
Of course, theres discourse to be had if antisocial as a concept and word is fundamentally cop-speak, but that didnt really enter the discourse at all, nor did people take notice that further down the original thread the OP suggested that not wearing headphones while doing loud things on your phone should be put in the DSM definition for Narcissistic Personality Disorder, which is a whole different kind of cop brain going on, but nope, all the quote tweets I saw were just complaining about people wearing headphones or how its actually cool and good to blast phone apps on the bus.
It's a live service game anyways, so the base story is probably just a time investment barrier that at best teaches people how to play the game before going out into the real gameplay.
Imagine being Macron and having to respond positively to the Swedish PM doing a ridiculous hinga dinga accent and telling you about how if you don't come to fika you will get an angry lapp(TL: written note) on your door.
I couldn't do that shit, I would tweet at him to stop being so embarrassing and get some dignity.
Not sure if this is a sign that I should step back and take a break but I can't help but feel that sentiments like "Zionists are attempting to turn Jewish imagery into hate symbols, and we CANT LET THEM SUCCEED!" are kind of just self absorbed.
Like it just feels obvious that the only way to actually do that is to dismantle the Israeli state that is physically scarring the flesh and soil of Palestine with the Star of David, and that this shit of like protesting by performatively wearing Jewish symbols to somehow defy that reality just feels like self absorbtion, I can sympathize that its scary and frustrating to have this happen with your iconography, but like what are you actually doing by specifically making a show of continuing to wear those symbols and then posting monologues about it?
Idk, maybe I just need to block all this shit out on twitter and not pay attention to it for a while.
Konami: These dumb gamer hogs will never buy a dynamic fixed camera game in this day and age, we need to MODERNIZE for marketability!
Silent Hill "fans": Sadly there is just no way to sell a dynamic fixed camera in this day and age, and it wasnt even that good to begin with actually, just look at how improved Resident Evil 2 is
Anyways, so Konami simply has no choice but to pick the most average camera angle and control system on the planet right now if they want to be able to sell a remake, which they simply must! Silent Hill 2 was only average for the time anyways so this is good!(actual comment I have seen)
