Who keeps buying these pieces of trash over 2009 Toyota Camrys?

I have experience with alcoholics in the family and haven't drank more than a handful of drinks in the last 5 years, because I don't want to go down that road, but the things you need to ask yourself are: Are you prepared to have her never changed and eventually drink herself to death? Are you prepared for her behavior to get even worse over the years towards you and herself? Are you prepared for the drinking associated health complications, she won't be able to function as an adult for her last 5-10 years. Are you prepared to deal with potential DUIs, job losses, and other alcohol related complications? Are you prepared to give up your life to deal with her situation?

If the answer is no, you need to think about your future with her. You can't help her through this one.

In Firefox, on Linux, behind a VPN and firewall with ad blocker, I run 5 different privacy/ad blocking extensions. I keep hearing about adds, but not seeing them.

Supposedly Youtube now is getting more agressive on this? I wouldn't know. Haven't seen a Youtube notice about it yet.

But really, I dream of the day youtube is replaced by something else. Fracture Youtube into 1,000 pieces and scatter it into the wind.

Is Keffals doing that though? I don't see the context to support that claim. If Keffals was responding to an original post about Palestinian genocide, I could see it, but a statement on its own may or may not being doing whataboutism. There isn't enough context to determine what's going on here.

I don't like attempts to frame oppression of various groups as opposing interests. Maybe Keffals is against Palestinian genocide, or maybe not, but without context, who knows. Bottom line, all oppression is bad, and pointing out one type of oppression doesn't detract from the other.

Of course voting between red/blue isn't the answer, both groups will continue to remain oppressed, regardless of who's in power so Keffals seems a bit misguided on that.

Star Trek Industrial Replicator...Star Trek has never really had an episode that explored the magic of what you could do if you had a replicator. Just having ONE, would change the world overnight, and forever. I'd start replicating replicators and handing them out.

All a person has to do is walk down the street in Shanghai, and then LA or New York City, and even the most oblivious will figure it out! I think most Americans think of China as a collection of farming villages rather than the powerhouse they've become.

It will not be, you don't know what you're talking about. There is no sustainment capability. Missiles guarantee that. The US won WWII through RECYCLING MODEL Ts. The US shipped it's scrap to China, who is using it to build out their country.

All the surface ships on all sides will be gone in a matter of weeks, there will be no Naval Battles, missiles will take out everything, and all that will be left to do is launch the nukes and kill everyone, that's what WWIII is going to look like.

THIS IS WWIII:

You'd better hit play now and watch, because when it's happening, you won't be able to see it, and probably not even know it's happening.

Did you, or did you not say the following?

lol do you expect the military to not try and improve its weapons of war? Also calling the F35 a failure is hilariously wrong

Yes I’m a liberal who actually takes interest on being informed on military matters and reality

[–] Hexbear2@hexbear.net 5 points 2 years ago

Yep, there is no ramping up or sustainment in the next war. Naval warfare will be over in a matter of weeks. That should be a scary proposition because it won't take but a few weeks until all that's left is to launch the nukes.
