I loved that pedal gimmick. Shooting off screen to reload felt lame and actually ducking to take cover was both exhausting and inaccurate.
Helmic
That control scheme was such a massive gimmick and I loved it. Felt so dramatic to slam both those things and charge at the other kid and ruining their single player streak.
Yeah, a lot of them are not very fun outside the context of an arcade. As a social experience of playing minigames as you stroll past them, it's its own thing, and fighting games obviously have survived by having way more depth to them that make them worth playing as more than a minigame despite individual matches being so quick.
Arcade machines also used to be much more powerful than home consoles, so flashy graphics used to be a big draw. Not so much now, they're mostly just about the gimmick controllers outside of Japan.
cyberpunk but you think the robot arms are so cool and you can't wait for them to happen
My first AC so I don't know the history, but the weapon balance practically revolves around stagger. Everything is about stagger, either building it up or exploiting it when it happens for a big dramatic finish. I could see people who were used to the game without it disliking it, but I'm enjoying the distance manipulation , pressure, and footwork game it encourages as you need to make sure you've got a punish ready to go - or at least a kick. Deciding betweem going for a melee strike before they're staggered to build up stagger for your other, not as damaging weapons and risking getting staggered yourself in the approach or during your feint cancels or using feints to force a panic dodge to land a missile hit to then actually punish with a nasty melee direct hit is all exciting.
More generally, just use Libredirect and avoid using a ton of important but shitty websites. Breezewiki in particular is fantastic, so much faster than Fandom and it'll redirect you to a game's actual official wiki since Fandom SEO's itself to the top even when it has shitty misinformation and isn't maintained.
I don't hate my coworkers that much.
64 ounce Stanley water jug. I throw ice in it and I have something cold to drink all day. It's beautiful.
Bidet has been good though now it feels gross to shit at work and my politics demand I shit at work.
Contact grill, ie a GE brand George Foreman. I can't fuck up flippimg shit if I'm frying both sides simultaneously. And a food thermometer so my colorblind ass isn't relying on mom's shit advice to just cook it until it's brown.
This battery car starter / tire infator / phone charger. I have used it with some frequency, but more often I can just roll up and fix someone's car problem super quick. I even get out of work with it a lot when a customer needs someone to jump their car or fix a flat (also keep a tire patch kit obv).
All of this is bought from thrift stores. I can only assume most of my shit was originally shoplifted, it's fantastic. There is just so much good shit being sold for almost nothing, I am the KING of expired Chips Ahoy.
there is a cure for incontinence and all those people wearing adult diapers are simply cowards
My main reason for buying a 6 refurbished was GrapheneOS. Beyond that, it's a phone without an SD card slot or an easily replacee battery. When this phone gets an issue I can't fix, I'll probably re-evaluate what to get - hopefully still a GrapheneOS phone but more repaiarable and expandable.
gamers when playable characters have unique strengths that make them worfh playing
is there specifically a reason you're licking his ass as you type this
