i fucking hated that shit.

Having listened to the episode, the take was that the IDF was bombing near the hospital to intimidate them into leaving, and so deliberately targetted the parking lot thinking it would have been mostly empty, unaware that it was actually packed. So not really an accident in that they were unwilling to kill civilians or risk directly hitting the hospital itself, just not that many in a way that undermined their propaganda.

I'm not sure why they wouldn't have known how that parking lot was being utilized, but I didn't really read the take as being IDF apologetics.

Wouldn't want bad actors to find privacy respecting software.

It's hard to know. Sometimes they'll bend over backwards to support someone they've always considered part of the family, change their minds ot make an exception for one of their own, but other times even the "supportive" people are only supportive insofar that they'll forgive you if you stop being queer. They called her actions "unbiblical" so who knows. She was being pursued by cops in the end, so that probably escalated matters.

The whole point of that article is that there's no evidence she actually did contribute to those policies. You're literally just doing the team sports we mock libs for, I highly doubt you'd be celebrating a trans woman's outing and suicide if she was blue.

I'm sure she had bad politics, she probably wasn't a leftist by any stretch, but most of the awful, horrid shit this monstrous system does is to people who are not perfect victims. She died because chuds killed her, so quit cheering with the chuds.

No, it isn't? Iunno mate directly tying frustrations people have to a particular pattern seems politically useful. Sorry it isn't in a hundred year old book lol.

Just in general I get the feeling this "lib" as a slur thing gets used to try to make ourselves feel superior to others and pretend a tiny vanguard of posters is going to do anything with like zero connection to the outside world. The enshitification concept has been really useful for explaining why the frustrations people I know are connected to my politics. If I find myself upset that people are concluding capitalism makes things worse I will.know it is time to log off.

I honestly don't think it's that complicated, no. I think it's literally a drop in the efficacy of sex appeal - people seem to get the whole intimacy aspect of it just fine, and if anything Gen Z's a lot more emotioanlly intelligent regarding that sort of thing thanks to dramatically changing sexual mores where, like, consent and shit is actually valued. Most media does not use sex scenes to particularly good effect, especially video games where the limitations of 3D game engine animation have lead to very wooden scenes and often more egregiously just bad writing.

Like you're kidding yourself if you think the sex scenes in your typical Hollywood movie have any particularly deep meaning to them. Of course they've been used to draw ipeople in. "Sex sells" has been a motto for decades. There's certainly movies that do use sex scenes well, that aren't awkward payoffs to arbitrary romantic subplots, but I don't think the generalized lowering of interest in those scnees specifically comes down to gen z feeling less intimacy or whatever moralizing flaw. I think they just have higher standards lol.

personally i have never wanted sex on screen for the sake of having sex. like, i don't really wanna get sexually aroused when i'm watching a movie or playing a game. i'm not gonna object to sex in a game or movie, but like that'd be more in the sense that sex happens in stories and i guess i like characters with chemistry getting together.

it feels like the expectation with putting sex in movies and games is, like, tittilation even if it's not outright pornography. it's fanservice. you have to have been a boomer, gen x, or early millenial to have only had access to magazines in the woods to be using media as a porn substitute. everyone can just go look at porn. for anything drawn or animated, you can literally find porn of that exact character you are looking at on the screen, right now, by opening a new tab. a lot of media is being made by people who grew up where the sexiest thing you could lay eyes on without anyone finding out was the sears catalog, for people who may have literally seen a dude's gaping asshole before they even hit puberty.

a lot haven't even hit puberty. the youngest in gen Z are 11. a good chunk more are literally living with their parents, either due to the intensifying contradicts of capitalism or because they are literally a minor. what crimes are you willing to commit to prevent your parents from walking in on you on one of this scenes, which could come up without warning or escalate much further than you were expecting?

I see this image and I wonder where the fuck else people are going to eat. Tbh this reads as a very urban take, if you're living in an area that basically exists to service people driving on the interstate it is just all chains. Any "family" restaurants are serving food from the same bulk supplier so they're identical to one another as well on top of tasting bad and being overpriced. People say chains are bad but like theyr'e at least consistent, paying $20 for really bad pizza that's worse than the $10 pizza you can get from Pizza Hut of all places is the extent of commercial food culture in much of so-called flyover country.

There isn't really such a thing as a public space out here. Any other kind of date is simply going to be at a bar or at someone's house. You simply do not socialize like how people socialize on TV out here, you either have to be visiting your friends' houses regularly or you're going to simply go direclty home and watch TV. There's simply not enough rich people to support anything more upscale.
