That's actually a thing. I saw a video reporting on some trade show and they were able to do something with a laser to energize a small device. Something a bit more intensive than a led but not by much.

Its a little cylinder with 2 wires leading to the mobo. Not for error codes but for the 'beep' that happe is when you turn on computer. Is that not a thing any more?

My CPU crapped out. And the wire leading to the thing that goes 'beep' when you turn on cpu was broken.
In trying to diagnose the CPU issue, I had to turn computer on and off a lot. Somehow, doing that on and off repeatedly corrupted the hard drives. So raid doesn't protect against problems like that or power spikes that fry things.

Don't do regular WD. Has to be special. Think white lithium like op said is fine. Anywhere that moves. Hinges on door. Inside of wheels. Drive chain, Spring (careful dont kill yourself) Not on track.

Hi. Just shooting out a bugpost in case it's helpful.

Today, I engaged in some mild trolling and flew too close to the sun with my satire, and my post was removed from conservative@lemmy.world. The removal happened on Fedia quickly after the Lemmy removal.

A quick convo with the mod there had the post reinstated. It's now visible on the original instance. That reinstatement occurred about 10 hrs ago.

However, the fedia version is still showing 'removed by moderator' as the status.

So, seems like 'removals' are federated quickly. However, 'reinstatements' are not federating out or are doing so with substantial delays.
