What happens when the user forgets their username or their password, or the password is leaked, or the hash algorithm gets cracked by a rainbow table?
Which algorithm in particular would you use? Do you have a technical specification and reference implementation for your system?
Are any of these points unsolvable engineering problems?

Most people don't deserve to be swatted, including Daniel Micay. However, it's not exactly surprising this happened based on the tone in the GrapheneOS community.

yeah, I was banned for asking questions in the support Matrix channel because they were all super on edge. Hope this gets better and people finally calm down. It's not a good thing to get gray hair about FOSS.
Daniel stepping down is a huge move both for him personally and for the community as a whole. I hope he can finally have peace with the project and not be anxious about swatting and the like.
That guy is pretty sensitive to everyone and everything, getting paranoid to the point of thinking everyone is out to get him. Some of them are out to get him after all – in any case, I wish him the best and that his mental health and well-being gets better :)
