Don't give him credit for TFA. That film set the entire trilogy up for failure with its opening crawl. There was no future for the sequels as soon as he decided to make a shitty ANH remake.

It's both, people don't draw inspiration from just one thing. It's also Hidden Fortress, but that doesn't make the WW2 elements any less relevant. Star Wars is about the fight against fascism and imperialism in many forms.

It really always has been. I mean The Office itself is a remake already. Everything builds on other works, some more directly than others. I genuinely don't think it correlates much with quality overall.

Yeah I absolutely do not care about that. I also won't bother to get a 4k TV until I get some banger clearance deal or something because it does not fucking matter. I grew up on tube tvs dude, anything that isn't fuzzy is golden. Most of what I'm playing is either indie or ancient, and seeing giant pixels in perfect clarity does nothing to improve the experience.

That's fair, it is streaming only at the moment. I had honestly forgotten, I don't play much that really needs perfect latency, so I've just been enjoying streaming on mine for months now.
