the way i see it, "folks" can refer to a more traditional group of people, most likely rural, and you wouldn't call nobles or people of other high status "folks".

but also i doubt people think it is problematic; it's just a quirk of the English language that "chat" emerged basically out of nowhere with the closest analogue being "audience".

i mean, "habit" is a weird word for it. i'd call it more of a trend. "brain rot" seems like an adequate description.

it comes from streamer culture where streamers would refer to their audience as "chat" because the chat box is the main way for viewers to interact with whoever they are watching.

not everyone lives somewhere where it is socially acceptable to be LGBTQ.

i feel like this YT short might help explain it.

blueprint work in unreal engine.

i simultaneously love making a big fuckin mess of the nodes like it's a wall of modular synths and cleaning it up into neat blocks.

bro that is manly as fuck. keep doing you because it's hella manly to be gentle and caring and nurturing.

you need to stop worrying about all that "not alpha/sigma male = not attractive" self-doubt. you also need to stop worrying about your attractiveness. you're already attractive to some people. just find people you really enjoy hanging out with one on one, and eventually you'll land a partner.

reading this was like watching a train wreck, and the final sentence sent the train plowing straight into me.

that's so insensitive towards the heroic dog who was just trying to save his family :(

it's kind of hard to just talk about this subject in a historical and scientific manner without there being a brigade just because there wasn't an opinion raised on the matter in the post.

i could have started that post with "child sexual abuse is not okay imo", but then that would have been like putting "asbestos free!" on a bag of crisps: if i am clarifying that, something fishy is going on.
