That's my interpretation as well.

I am aware that this has been covered, but I have to maintain the belief that much like the US Postal Service, the federal government will continue to foot the bill regardless.

This looks like you purled that first row with the black yarn instead of knit it.

If you feel brave you can ladder down and use a crochet hook to reknit that singular column of stitches. It is relatively easy to do but very intimidating at first, especially with colorwork like this.

I really like tutorials by Roxanne Richardson, who I believe is a master knitter. Here is how she explains the ladder down method.

Otherwise you already know ... Frog it.

There go ultra-MAGAs and their anti-business platform.

I see a lot of alignment in your threads and comments with the things I care about, so please hear this feedback as coming from someone siding with you.

You may want to start using phrases like "darker complexions" instead of "coloured skin," the latter phrase referencing an outdated term of "coloreds" or "colored people" for what we now would call "people of color."

Sincere question: does this statistic represent the sentiment that they A. like that Trump is a security risk to national interests or B. see this indictment as further proof that he's actually the messiah who was close to unearthing JKF Jr and QAnon stuff, so clearly he was thisclose to draining the swamp?

I've said it before and I'll say it again: what is the role that Oppositional Defiance Disorder is playing into such a huge number of people??

I can only explain how to do it on mobile. Can't remember what the desktop version looks like off the top of my head.

But in essence, go to the community's front page, then scroll to the very bottom until you see the community or magazine's full name as a widget/module, then click the subscribe button in that module.

On desktop, this might all be on the right side of the screen.

Let's pretend Trump abruptly dropped out of the race (willingly or unwillingly) before January.

Do you think DeSantis would absorb the voter base?

Not disagreeing with your perspective at all, but there at least have been hidden enclaves on platforms like reddit that are not achievable on platforms like Twitter, in which consenting adults could find each other for consenting activities.

You can't do that stuff on Twitter or IG because everything is too out in the open. You can do it on some other websites but they don't have the userbase and broader appeal and legitimacy like reddit had.

Just not sure that there's a way to achieve it in the Fediverse because we're not just talking about the fact that there's a small but hopefully trustworthy group of admins who could wade through everyone's posts and DMs, or surely Google is indexing your comment and post submissions... We're talking about a solicitation of a sensitive nature goes out so much further than you can imagine.

Please know this is not about finding new channels to conduct illegal activity!

Thanks for adding this info!

For what it's worth, this still happens in the 2020s, but as you point out, only for affluent couples. I'm picturing here how high earners can (or may be required by state divorce law) take a trial separation for a predetermined amount of time and establish residency in a new state. That second state may have more favorable laws to one parent over the other for child custody or may have no-fault protection whereas the first state doesn't. Alimony is less of a concern for these scenarios, but family law for child custody usually gets very complicated when two states are involved.

Obviously spouses who have been homemakers can't access these relocation measures, which further highlights who exactly is vulnerable under this law.
