I remember being pleasantly surprised with season 7, it felt more in tune with the early series to me. Experimentative, but not overdone like season 5 (?) was. The one with the unicorns, I forgot which one that was. I haven't watched 8 yet
Really ? so far I only have seen the triad people defend minorities tooth and nail. Which is great of course. I can't figure out how to reconcile this with support for Putin's Russia.
