Am I the only one that thinks most of them don't look that similar?

Personally, I imagine the global elite to be Cypher, enjoying a succulent steak while selling out the rest of humanity to robots.

Freedom of speech. Except the speech we don't like.

Agreed, and probably the main aim of the change. It forces people to have a photo ID when they wouldn't necessarily otherwise.

I don't know if this is the case in other countries, but in the UK if you don't drive and don't require a passport then you wouldn't naturally have a photo ID. Forcing people to choose between "volunteering" all their personal data and being allowed to vote is not an action of a benevolent democratic government.

You'd think that the Prime Minister who implemented the rule to require a photo ID to vote would then not forget his own photo ID at the next time he tries to vote. Smells distinctly oniony.

I would be disappointed every time I walked into the room that it's not a surprise pizza party.

I might be putting on my grumpy old man hat... but more remakes? The original 2 are still playable, what's wrong with just playing them?

I have encountered this "American social issues transplanted" hand waving a lot in Europe. For example, I know a lot of Swedes who say this about a bunch of casually racist stuff (proclaiming Sweden to be very anti-racist). Meanwhile up north you see a lot of Classic American cars which are often casually emblazoned with Confederate flags and even displayed in proximity to Nazi memorabilia. Down south you have a rising right-wing party support fuelled by fear of immigrants from Africa/Middle East (eg. The non-white ones).

I understand you're trying to educate yourself and that's great, don't take this as dunking on you more, as I feel like you're in the smart minority by trying to learn and reason. It just really bugs me when I hear people say it's a US problem. A lot of Europe is holding a lot of racist views (and in a lot of cases, horrific colonial history) and then turn around to say things like "why are my football players kneeling, BLM is an American issue".

Not clicking the link because this podcast seems like a clickbait pile of shit, but she's right. Odd to frame it as "Women's brains" as it obviously also applies to men because we are all humans.

Oh I totally get that. But where there's mayo, there's no need for butter. And if you slightly toast the bread first it will mostly hold off the sogginess. And it's only really a problem with basic sliced bread, some nice crusty or dense grainy bread will often hold up anyway.

To me, it's the equivalent of something like deep frying bacon. Probably still delicious but not really necessary.

I would like to get behind To's, but it's a bit too similar to toes. I like the idea of toes in my sandwiches less than butter.
