That's true, we wouldn't gain much from tariffing back US products (aside from looks), because we already don't buy them for other reasons.

What is the EU supposed to invest on in the US? And how the fuck are they going to impose this on member states? Which countries are going to take the hit and do this investing and buying of military equipment/gas (ok, gas is to replace russia in the north)?

They can stay until they decide it doesn't benefit them anymore. But it was never about doing more good than harm (unless it is to themselves).
