Absolutely. Much like Cardinal Richelieu said, anything can be twisted to your desires, but assuming the only accurate polling is complete polling is incorrect and infeasible if not impossible.

It's okay to just say you don't understand how statistics works.

A lot of people will notice when red states stop dropping other languages in schools next school year.

Some would argue the Cajun are the Quebecois who were unwilling to submit to British rule.

For this reason alone...

My riding is pretty solidly Conservative. I don't think it has been anything else in its various incarnations since WWII. All I expect to get this time around is a protest vote, but I will be making my voice heard with it, and I will be telling them how they are failing us as Canadian citizens by sticking with FPTP when there are much more democratic options available.

That feeling when LLM matches your worldview.

4.5 billion divided by 1 billion is 4.5. You're off by an order of magnitude.

Also, there is a lot of stuff we can see within 47 light years. Stumbling across a planet that was ejected from our solar system is highly improbable, but even less so is that planet being captured by another star and having a stable orbit. Not impossible, mind you, but the lottery is a safer bet.

The attitude hasn't changed, though. "I know better than anyone else, and we should all do it my way, even if this topic has no bearing whatsoever on my day-to-day life."

Also, his political career started within a couple years of this essay. I haven't heard of a single piece of evidence for him trying to make this happen, before or after he was elected, not even a petition. So even though people can change, there's no evidence he agreed with this opinion as soon as it could apply to him.

There are plenty of examples to show otherwise. There's an English comedian who has made that his whole schtick. But context and role are important. I'm guessing neither of those are relevant to this situation.
