I limit myself to the caffeine equivalent because I don't want to build a tolerance. As long as I stick to medically safe levels of caffeine I don't seem to have any side effects, just more alertness/energy, so having to take more to keep withdrawal symptoms at bay as well as having to take even more to see any benefits just seems like a bad idea.

Are you sure it's the caffeine? I ask because I have no problems at all with caffeine, but coffee in any real quantity, eg. more than in a Coffee Crisp or coffee cake, gives me stomach cramps, but I can take a 200 mg tablet on an empty stomach and have no problems at all.

Everyone's different, and I'm curious if this is another of those.

Ramping down is probably giving you withdrawal symptoms. They shouldn't last more than a week. Painkillers will help, but if you're trying to get away from caffeine, make sure they aren't in your painkillers, too. A number of extra strength painkillers have 50 mg caffeine (Excedrin has caffeine). Of course, everyone is different, even ignoring how ADHD interacts with caffeine, so no one solution is perfect.

As someone who has maintained a consistently low caffeine addiction for decades, these are important factors. I keep it low so it isn't required to function normally and I still get a kick with reasonable results when I need it. And I like the taste of Coca-Cola.

I think "I want to shoot the whole school down" isn't terribly subtle, but Pumped Up Kicks definitely spells it out for you.

Slight correction. The 170 refers to how many more seats they have compared to everyone else.

410 - (650 - 410) = 170

So 84 of their members could vote against a bill and it would still pass, which is significant. I think? I'm not sure how contentious votes are within party in the UK.

This sounds like something I would do with all of 40 hours or so of Python-esque programming under my belt. I feel like there has to be a better way, but it worked. I'm worried this might be the best way.

A link for the uninitiated.

When I read this I was reminded of Chinchiladas from Archer.

I don't disagree, and I'm pissed that he didn't institute electoral reform, but not keeping campaign promises is about half of what politicians do. It would be nice to have something done about that, where politicians were fined, oh, 6 month's salary, for each platform promise they didn't keep, party and personal, but which politician would vote that in?

As someone who hasn't bothered to read any of the detail about this whole mess until just now, the comments from three years ago were all relatively civil, even if the response by the developer was dismissive. That this was corrected within 6 weeks and people are still talking about it is pretty impressive, though. Looks like people are trying to make enemies, not converts.

Do you know what topic brought you here?

"Hey guys, let's not use this free software, because of their views."

"Maybe we shouldn't use this other free software because of their views."

"Why are you guys worried about which free software you use based on their views?"

"We can all tell you aren't new, why are you complaining about our unofficial pastime?"
