This is primarily targeted towards patented or similarly IP protected seeds, with the intent of making them more profitable for the seed developer so they will produce new varieties. How this will work with commercial farmers is a question I'm not equipped to answer, but on a personal level, this is a good reason to be conscientious about buying heritage and open source seeds.

Indefensible and worthless. Barren land is often easier to build in than destroyed infrastructure. It's not great for Ukraine, but having Russia use resources to get something of little or no value is of strategic value for Ukraine. Far better than giving them intact infrastructure.

Very Venetian, all the neighbours are doing it!

If it helps provide resources to get other services like the ones that were suggested, that would also be great. But knowing we're helping the developers would also be a win by me, even if I don't agree with their politics.

I mostly posted that to raise visibility. I understand it's a hard question to answer right now. $5/mo was kind of what I was thinking, but I don't even know how many accounts/users are on here, so I can't say if that's realistic. I've already given more than I ever did to Reddit and consider it money well spent.

This is great, but I'd also like to have an idea of what is needed to support this on an individual level. I know that isn't easy since this is just starting up, but we should have an idea of what's needed individually once things have been running for a while. Suggested donations would make it easier to know what's appropriate to keep this afloat.

In the meantime, I'll do a one-time donation partially to help build a cash reserve (and to support the year of good service I've already received).

Thanks again for all your hard work, both in running the server and in getting thos NFP set up.

Win98 was so bad they released Win98SE.

Shades of "Who would have thought healthcare was so complicated?" No offense. There are so many basic services people just don't think about.

Wow, reading Sach's Wikipedia page, this guy is a piece of work. Only 340 economists disagree with his stance on Ukraine! Talk about going against the flow. If one was to throw about terms like 'tankie', he would look like a great example.

I'm pretty sure there is a part where they talk about the bike as separate from the wagon. Ah, here's the quote: "Mosscap nodded at the wagon trailing dutifully behind Dex’s ox-bike."

Smith: I always stay focused on issues

Reporter: Smith says she only meant that Guilbaut (?) should be fired...

So, no capability of self-reflection or consistency. Stereotypical populist.

It's just how you use it...
