We had a stallion that could jump the 6-foot fences of his corral. My dad would yell at him and he would jump back in. He was a bit of a jerk (stallion), but he definitely wasn't stupid.

We had a Shetland mare, and she wasn't stupid, either. Pure evil, as is the Shetland way, but not stupid.

Our Welsh was neither stupid nor evil.

Our thoroughbred might have been stupid, or could have come from an environment as unstimulating as a rat cage with nothing but food and a single wheel.

When a state used to have maternal outcomes similar to a developing nation's, then passed some new laws and it got worse, I'd say shitshow is too mild.

It really isn't useful if you're viewing images, obviously, but it has has some benefit in other realms. It's a good idea for an international market, but it will take time for everyone to buy into it and get used to it.

This is related to the prosperity gospel, which Puritans were fully on board with. If God blessed you, you would prosper. Ergo, if you were prosperous it was because God had blessed you. Likewise, if you weren't prosperous, it was because God was punishing you. And if God is punishing you, who am I to stop it? So not only is helping your fellow man who is struggling more than you not really what God wants you to do, you're actually interfering in God's punishment of this person.

Or it could just be an excuse to be shitty to people who weren't as fortunate as you.

Infrared light is absorbed quite easily, producing heat, and the sun emits a lot of it. Of course, all photons that are absorbed and not reflected will produce thermal energy, and infrared radiation is commonly referred to as radiant heat. The other two heat transfer methods are conduction and convection, which requires a medium to transfer through.

They apparently sold 4 million units of the pico family. Given the product, I'd say that isn't amazing, but not a failure, either.

Trump didn't win the popular vote when he was elected. I'm pretty sure a write-in of him would just guarantee the Republicans would lose.

Frame him? Why? All they have to do is stand aside and let various Democrats at different levels of government charge and convict him of crimes we know he did.

Perception is key here. A lot of advertising talks about "endangered whales", but doesn't say, "these whales are doing okay, but these other whales are on the brink of extinction." I certainly couldn't give you a list of endangered vs not endangered whales. Possibly because I live a thousand kilometers from where any whales are going to be found.

The issues usually fall to two things. Some find it abhorrent to eat sapient creatures. Others are opposed to eating an endangered animal you don't need to.
