A New Sexual Identity Emerges

I wonder what the famously not-bi ancient Greeks and Romans would think about that statement.

A parked military helicopter that hadn’t been flown in years. They basically blew up a museum piece.

Leftist parties (socialist and socdem) were doing so well in the Duma after the collapse of the USSR and the Russians got a taste of capitalism that Yeltsin - with the backing of the US - in a metaphorical but also very literal sense - attacked the legislative branch and consolidated all functional power in the executive. Again, with US backing. Putin is just using the levers of power than Yeltsin and Clinton handed to him.

I’m old enough to have used Windows 95. I think if people could go back and try it out they’d realize how very little operating systems have changed in 30 years.

I’ve already seen reactionaries on social media spread the notion that undocumented workers are the reason house prices in the US are so high (because of course, the most marginalized and vulnerable people are the ones who just get boatloads of handouts from the government…)

Are there any really good programs/apps that convert epub files to audio?

From red. on Telegram:

Argentine police clashed with workers. The protest was against the closure of the National Cinema Institute (INCAA). Workers in the cultural sector held a press conference in front of the iconic Gaumont Cinema. Suddenly, police charged at them, wielding batons and pepper spray.

Most INCAA workers have already been fired. This action is part of the government's preparation to close the Institute. It aligns with President Javier Milei's neoliberal agenda, which aims to reduce the state's presence in all areas except repression.

Inflation has risen to 254%, significantly higher than the 160% rate he inherited. The past week saw numerous strikes, with teachers, airline workers, transport workers, and public sector unions participating. A possible general strike is looming.

Additionally, President Milei is struggling in Congress. His flagship austerity law faced another setback. It was blocked again yesterday in the Senate.

If Hamas had a Patreon I’d give them every cent I could spare.

Fine, let’s say this is actually true, let’s play the game according to lib rules. Then in that case, I’m still not voting for Biden. Joe Biden is a genocidal murderer who has the blood of tens of thousands of innocent people on his hands. I cannot allow my precious vote to condone such horrific acts. I have made the world a more dangerous place but my conscious is clear, just like a good liberal.

I am 100% certain that if the Soviets never developed nukes, Eisenhower would have started dropping nukes on Moscow until they got a complete unconditional surrender.

What’s incredible is that the complete opposite is actually true. Both Khrushchev and Gorbachev made very serious efforts to eliminate all nuclear weapons; and I sincerely believe the USSR would have gone along with a nuclear-free world. But the Americans told them to get lost. Reagan made a proposal to Gorbachev (with a straight face, no less) that involved the Soviets first getting rid of all their nukes, then the US would follow suit.

Yeah I mean I’m not even sure I really buy it.
