I think I used the wrong word. Antagonistic is better. They are more antagonistic to Mainland China while KMT historically has been more assertive overseas. Many dictators in Latin America benefitted from KMT partnership.

I remember visiting America and seeing Taiwan flags. I got excited because I thought I could meet someone from my country but then it ended up being a middle aged white couple. This has happened a few times. It is weird for them to have our flag and they are not even from Taiwan.

I need to keep looking up terms I see on this website like BIPOC or AES. Are these American terms? I have never heard them before.

DPP will probably win. They are like American Democrats. Progressive and neoliberal with an aggressive foreign policy. KMT is the opposition and they are like the American Republicans. Mostly old people like them and they are very conservative.

I think most Western leftists will be disappointed by Taiwan's election. DPP is most likely going to win.
