Feel free to do the math yourself then. But I don't mind absolving them. They didn't vote for Trump, and they exist in a terrible two party system that makes them choose between fascists. They literally did not cause this. So shut the fuck up. I don't want to hear criticism of third party voters from anyone who hasn't given 10x that criticism of everyone else on your list.

That's mostly fair, but "protest voters" still didn't throw the election. If you added all third party votes to Democrats instead, you'd still have a trump presidency. This is after Harris ran a very right-wing campaign. They bet hard on Zionism, "border security" and military strength and they lost, partly because Trump can do all those things "better"(worse).

I feel like takes like this come from people with no long term memory. Do you remember the pro-palestinian crowd begging Kamala Harris to even pretend like she'd do something to help? Sorry I'm late, but I don't think Matthew 25:41 suggests Jesus believed in eternal punishment. It's a very specific theology that we know very well today, so it's easy to read it into the text. But that verse says that the fire is eternal, not necessarily the suffering.

It's pretty likely that Jesus believed in the idea of the "second death"(not eternal).

“And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.” (Matt 10:28)

Its more likely that Jesus's understanding of hell is far from the modern Christian theology.

Now about human hierarchy:

Off the top of my head, we have:

• Jesus commanding the rich man to sell everything he has and give the money to the poor
• "the last will be first and the first will be last"
• Luke 6:20-25
• talking with and standing up for sex workers

If this is about hell, I don't think Jesus believed in hell, at least not as we know it. He also did definitely teach about erasing the social hierarchy, at least among humans. So he was a theocrat, sure, but he wasn't only a theocrat.

Otherwise, technically, if the means of production are owned by the people or the state, then other private property(not used for production) can exist without capitalism. So you could have someone who believes in private property but not capitalism. But you're basically right.

I agree completely. I'm honestly a little annoyed by some of the antitheists in this thread. They should know that historically societies become less religious after quality of life and progressive outlooks develop, not before. So the way you "defeat religion", if that's even possible, is by raising living standards and fighting for equality. There are Christians who do more to end Christianity than most atheists.

Also using FOSS as an analogy for religion is hilarious to me for some reason. It works though.
