Interestingly that's the exact thing I loved about Hollow Knight. I got so immersed in the exploration specifically because I got lost. On my first playthrough I ended up sequence breaking the game and cleared out deepnest, ancient basin, hive and kingdoms end before the city of tears. I was way out of my depth and I loved every moment of it.

OG Oblivion was super green. So much that the remaster, despite having natural lighting, looks brown in comparison.

Kinda? He's free to ask whatever price the believes he is worth, I don't have an issue with that. But just like he's free to ask whatever price he thinks is fair it's also fair for the other side to just say "No, thanks". No reason to be upset about it. Or do you think I should side with someone in the top 1% simply because one of the biggest corporations in the world told them no? It's someone with "set for life" money complaining that the corporation with essentially infinite funds didn't want to give him as much money as he demanded. I think siding with either side (based on the information we know so far) is stupid.

I imagine the biggest point are the censorship, disinformation and tankie allegations. These are all documented in this post. Another point worth bringing up is that they are the admins of lemmy.ml, where most of the allegations happen. Lemmy.ml also has something of a tankie problem and one of the devs has said that the donations will also cover the cost of running the instance. So by donating to the devs you're also donating to an instance that possibly has no problem with censorship, disinformation and harboring tankies.

I would be willing to turn a blind eye if I could trust the devs to step away from lemmy.ml and focus solely on the development of Lemmy. But I don't trust the devs enough to actually do that so I personally won't be supporting Lemmy development until someone else becomes the maintainer of Lemmy.

EDIT: just to cover off the inevitable "what will happen if we stop supporting Lemmy. I don't want to go back to Reddit" fear. If Lemmy doesn't work out and it gets abandoned there's always Mbin. Anyone here from the Reddit exodus knows that it's annoying to migrate but Mbin can federate with Lemmy which means going from Lemmy to Mbin is going to be less painful than form Reddit to Lemmy.

Have you considered complaining about Russia ruining international relations with their neighbors, which has led to this situation? It's not like those countries have a fundamental hatred of Russia. They would love it if Russia could be a normal ally because it would be immensely beneficial. It's Russia who can't be a fucking normal ally. It's not Lithuania who is building spy networks in Russia or bribing corrupt officials, it's Russia doing those things to Lithuania. And not just Lithuania, it's all Baltic states and Poland and Russian money goes even deeper into Europe.

It sucks for Russians that Lithuania has done this but it's ultimately Russia's own fault Lithuania had to do this. If there's anyone you or Russians should blame, it's Russia. You can't just push countries around and expect them to not do anything about it.

I would imagine they'd be stupid if they did use AI. I've seen people use AI to "write" technical documentation that I have had to review. That shit goes straight into the bin because the time I spend fixing all the AI nonsense is about the same amount of time it would take for me to write the document myself. It's gotten to a point where I straight up reject all AI generated documentation because I know fixing them is a waste of time.

I imagine legal documents have to be at least as precise as technical documents, so if they're checking the output I seriously doubt they're saving any time or money by using AI.

Verstappen is just a beast. How he finds the pace to out quali McLaren is just unbelievable.

And excellent quali by Kimi, I wasn't expecting him to get this fast this soon. I already had high expectations for him and he's just exceeding them.

I get that his name draws views but I don't think that's a factor going from S1 to S2. It's not like he went from nobody to somebody. He was already popular prior to S1, he didn't get more popular between seasons. His S1 salary probably already accounted for his popularity so it was most likely also accounted in the S2 salary. But, if he thinks he should've been paid more because of his name recognition then that's him pretty much trying to do the same thing he's blaming the accountants for, he would be trying to squeeze out every penny from his popularity.

I don't know about the specific of the deal or what S2 will actually contain, but as I understand S1 set up a new Hawkeye so maybe S2 would've had Renner not as the main character and possibly not doing the same amount of work. If he is going to do less work it would make sense to also pay less. This of course is speculation as we don't know actually know what S2 would've been about or what deal was presented to Renner. All we know is Renners side where he claims it would've been the same amount of work and I don't think I need to explain how that can't be taken as the absolute truth. The rest of what he said really makes me question if he's being completely honest or is he skewing the story to make himself look like the good guy.

But if he is telling the truth it would be pretty fucked up to offer half the salary for the same amount of work.

Really got me hyped up for 2027 when he's probably experienced enough to fight for the championship. Imagine a 3 way WDC fight between Verstappen, Piastri and Antonelli. Maybe even add Hamilton into the mix if he finds his form again.

I don't know the specifics of how the law is implemented but the self driving levels are defined such that from SAE level 3 onward you may have a case against manufacturer. I haven't kept up to date with Tesla SAE level but I imagine they're still officially on level 2 because it lets them keep their hands clean.

Considering Xbox already announced Silksong releasing within a year a few years back I'm not even going to believe the release announcement unless I can put the game in my shopping cart.

Hello

This community has been rather inactive for a long time and probably partly because the community creator and former mod was never active. There's also no strong CS community on lemmy so I decided to step up and hopefully shape this community into a healthy CS community, because I love CS and I don't want to go Reddit for my CS fix.

Moving forward I will take a more active role in this community to post content for others to discuss. To focus the discussions I will start by creating megathreads for the bigger happenings in the community. For instance instead of having 20 posts about the HLTV top 20 players that will get little to no comments, I will create a HLTV top 20 megathread to get more a discussion going on.

At least that's the plan, please do stick around and help me (by posting, commenting and upvoting) help you get this community up and running.

I would like to take a mod position to try and get this community off the ground as @Osiris seems to be inactive.
