The Isle, which I have almost 2000 hours in because it's incredibly in-depth despite being extremely unfinished and terribly balanced. It's fun to run around as a dinosaur. The people who complain about there being nothing to do are absolutely right, but damn if there isn't something exhilarating about stumbling upon some over-sized prey when it's pitch black in swamp during a thunderstorm, lightning crashing as I strike from the shadows, bleeding a T-Rex to death.

Then there's entire days where I play it and never find any prey.

Went to the doctor with my partner after reassuring her that we were going to get peace of mind, instead got told that she needs to see a dermatologist for a concerning mole. Called the dermatologist myself instead of waiting to hear back so we could make an appointment right away, and the earliest available at all their clinics is almost a month from now.

This is on top of her mother getting diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, and after a very serious scare with her vision... it's very brutal to have to deal with all this and have no money, so everything is just four times as hard as it would be otherwise. I just can't believe how much shit is going wrong here... had to come out to the garage to scream and cry without making her more scared than she already is. I was already dealing with chronic stress symptoms before this happened.

What a terrible world this is.

Not reading this thread because I don't want spoilers but I appreciate it anyway because now I'm even more encouraged to watch, since I don't really watch a lotta anime.

I dunno if the dev team is making that point or not, but I'm seeing the point being made 'round the web regardless

the monster designs are solid

I agonized so much over whether or not people were gonna think I was ripping off Pokemon too hard when I made Kor since I used some of the sprites and tiles as reference points; if I'd known the bar was this low then I would've relaxed so much during the dev process.

Edgelord knock-off Pokemon game where you enslave, work to death and eat creatures that people are defending to make some kind of point about how the hundreds of millions of people playing Pokemon apparently think cockfighting is okay because they played a video game about cartoon monsters fighting each other.
