Just out of curiosity, why is banglejs not an option for you?

Then go find the pornstars that you see on the linked aggregator by OP and pay them for your faps.

Of course it is easier, however, the point was that it is lazy...

I didn't know about the gliding for special symbols and numbers. Thanks for that.

Did you try Raccoon for Lemmy? I am using it now, and was an Infinity user some time ago.

[–] Gnorv@feddit.de 3 points 1 year ago

Ay, also am using that one

How does me opening a 4 year old discussion on reddit encourage someone else to ooen a new one there.

My behavior is the following: I type my research topic into a search engine, and open all related links to that topic until I find useful info. I prioritize non-shit websites (Wikipedia, lemmy, etc) but if I need info I will not willingly ignore a potential source. Unless I am required to log in somewhere, of course.

I tried a couple of times to find certain audiobooks, but seldomly had luck. There just does not seem to be a place that sells digital versions of audiobooks, similar to how bandcamp sells music.

And even putting on my eye patch and throwing out my fishing net I was not able to find a place to get them.

I do not want to use a subscription service, especially if it's part of amazon.

Therefore it seems buying a CD and ripping it is the only option left.

I am encountering an issue where any song becomes unplayable after I have updated parts of its metadata. I am using the "comment" field of the metadata to organize playlists. My music library is sorted into folders of artist and subfolders for albums.

I am using Rhythmbox Automatic Playlists to create playlists based on the comment field in the metadata. Rhythmbox is running on my PC, where also ny music library is located. That library is synced to my homeserver via Syncthing.

On my homeserver Jellyfin is running and looks at the synced music library. When I change the comment field of a song on my PC, Rhythmbox can see and play it normally. Syncthing detects the change and syncs it to my homeserver. When I then try to access the same song via Jellyfin, it is not playable. Only after manually deleting it from the server and placing it there again, e.g. by FileZilla, it becomes playable again.

Any ideas why this might be? Does Jellyfin not handle metadata changes well? Or is it an issue with Syncthing?

Is there a way to change the display name of a contact? I have some people in a group chat that only have numbers as their display name, which I'd like to change only for myself to be something more useful.

I have read it runs fine on steam but would rather buy it on GOG due to the lack of DRM.

It promises to be the one-in-all chatting app, based on matrix, providing compatibility to other apps (Telegram, Signal, WhatsApp etc.) through bridges.

So what do you think, from a privacy point of view and also user friendliness on the other hand?
