I have respect for the teacher. She is willing to risk her job to stand up for her values and is not bending the knee. Every Democrat should take a good long look at her.
When I was about 13, I started my path into goth subculture, in the late 90s . I am so very happy that this was the enviorment I was exposed to during my teens, when identity is formed and you are so very open to new ideas.
I grew up with a complete normalisation of gay and lesbian interactions, surrounded by men that were comftable wearing makeup and integrating elements of crossdressing into their outfits.
I could test out my ideas of a male gender and my sexuality without the boundaries that society troughs at us usually and I honestly think it was an absolute blessing.
Wasn't his first term in 2008? Like, the year the world housing hubble burst and banks had to be bailed out and all that? You can't blame that on him, as little as you can blame the Corona dip on Trump. Both happend on a global scale.
What's different around now is that the rest the world is doing just fine while the American stock market crashed. I can't remember any other time this happend to this extend.
I think the "I treat people like shit and expect them to change their view because of it" is harmful.
This is not how you change a mind. This is how to get sombody to double down on their bullshit who where ready to change their views.
They are beneath when Trump took office. I think that qualifies to say that he has vrought the price down.
Still a fashist asshole, just to make that clear. But I like to stick to facts in my criticism.
