ITT people not understanding that their votes are basically public no matter what. This tool might as well be one of a thousand and we're just playing wack-a-mole. Kind of a waste of time to bother with it, instead lemmy should get better.

The shopping realization for me is that I can't find this kind of graphs online with my average ass searching skills.
I can find linear graphs from the last 200 years or log graphs from the last 2000, but not what is show in this picture. No ship average joes think it looks natural, I'm convinced no one sees this graph, they see the shitty confusing ones. I bet many people don't have any idea what a log graph even is.
It's also why I think people say they don't want lemmy to change, that they want to filter out people, whenever the state of the platform is discussed, how it's not user friendly and properly thought out to be scalable.
What is it with everyone being obsessed with porn censorship suddenly? Why is this a trend?
At first I thought it's about control and data gathering, but this seems like too much of a genuine attempt at such a system. Why is the government so obsessed with parenting and nannying the citizens?
Individual countries already have their own versions and an EU level version is beeing rolled out. Let's see how it works out.
Hate that the solution to endless passwords is to carry a password database everywhere I go. So I can use my password while I use my password.
I realize now I've seen these people in the wild. When men are recorded in a video doing innocent or "girly" things, someone in the comments inevitably says "men used to go to war", like a kind of celebration of that fact, like they are specifically sad or disappointed that men get to actually enjoy life instead of suffering and committing atrocities on a battlefield.
So you have the same password for everything? Which would mean a single password leak would compromise all of your accounts?
I don't think it is. The voices I've heard from this instance have been some of the most reasonable and well though out. Also this instance stands for piracy and open source which are not imo extremist ideals in the digital world.
No, I don't like giving a voice to absurd extremists.
The protocol is 30 years old. It has been replaced 3 times over by thunderbold. The connector doesn't fit on most modern devices and has been replaced by usb-c.
Why would anyone want it back?
I liker Cyberpunk 2077's soundtrack so much I incorporated that specific style of music in my general listening habits because of it.
