Lmao, yeah the Ideologies at play here are 1. Believing in equal access to healthcare, which a genocidal AI company like Palantir will NEVER BE ABLE TO FULFILL properly, and 2. An opposition to AI because we believe in not letting robots steal human jobs

I don't use an adblocker on this device and the article was full of AI-gen adverts of old people exposing themselves to me :(

So often it's impossible to defend labour

I like them. It makes me think that there's at least one person, the message writer, who genuinely wants the best for everyome passing by the board

I think in some contexts/when i was a teenager I wouldn't like them. It triggers a " don't tell me what to do!" Or "you don't know a thing about my problems" reaction

Are these people associated with TfL or is it an indy project?

See I get why people have surnames like fisher and pilch but surnames like herring suggest they dveloped some sort of system where different fishermen had to focus on one particular species. Would suck to be the guy who is assigned 'carp.'

Salmon makes sense because maybe a river or lake fisher would be known by the salmon they sell.

Votes are public (on your instance) but this isn't reddit, so I just downvote things to indicate when incorrect information or bad attitude is on them (and people do the same to me and that's fine). I suppose things are different on piefed, which has some psuedo-karma system, but that's the outlier.

A large benefit of lemmy in general is that we can vote without it being a kick in the balls to someone's experience on the site. Because no karma system.

He's saying "ummmm" because we actually already do that. Fun fact :).

And we use different colours for each note.

But BTW, why the hostility to our... currency? Are you like a very patriotic IRS agent or something? Our currency isn't any more broken or extra forgeable than any other country's. I think you've extrapolated too much from seeing people bring up the occurence of forgeries on this one post.

Wow sounds like the government should help the police out by promising not to invade iran as soon as possible (would be nice to hear someone other than Kier Starmer say it, since a promise from him means NOTHING)

On the plus side - in this instance - many say that large protests such as this will only ever occur in support of the government's position. i.e they have the power to prevent ANY protest from happening before it has finished organising. "Iron Law of oligarchy" et cetera

The British government in the year 3000 when a clerical error at 4Chan HQ leads to them panicking and actually paying this fine (They forgot what it was for)

Because obviously red squirrels are still squirrels, but there's just far less of them. Don't think people would mind the occasional squirrel raid as long as they knew there was only going to be one of them for the entire neighbourhood. Alas.

Instead we dip into the UK's defense budget to engineer elaborste cages which leave karger birds hungry just to give a big middle finger to the grey bouncy buggers.

Bonus picture:

Don't know if/how this one got out again, it just came up when i searched for visual examples. Goes to show that we're never really safe. They can even get into our homes!
