Does anyone else like turning history off just so they can see random new stuff?

Sometimes I use Youtube in a private browser just so I can actually be exposed to new information and channels.

Its so annoying that the algorithm is always trying to pigeon hole my feed (facebook and spotify are the same)

Wait, this is outrageous. I need to know more about this. Do we know the names of these molecules?

Sad days, shows when Australian politics, media, lobbying and business pressure come together to ensure legislation or set the narrative.

Shame its all on the wrong side of history. Instead of widespread climate action the easier thing to do is reduce our democracy.

Now go back to being a good little unhappy consumer. Remember there are things to buy to distract you from these broader social and political issues!

It took me a few episodes. But now I think it’s entertaining and wholesome!

It’s my utopia of what humans could become in the future

I see this has caused controversy! Interesting

I saw him pop up recently in another thread. I don’t ever think someone holds all the answers to the world problems or someone or something is wholly responsible (maybe besides greed) but I think it’s important to be exposed to other narratives and views to make a better sense of the world.

I don’t claim that his narrative is correct but it’s interesting to think about the concepts he presents

This seems relevant to our current issues

Are we fucked?

[–] Gbagginsthe3rd@aussie.zone 26 points 2 years ago

Fuck those poor people… until whoops too many average Australians required covid benefits and everyone realised the amounts offered were not sustainable for living…

We forgot about that so back to demonising the poor.

How about instead we properly tax the super profits of big business. Then there is lots of money for the projects and people that enrich our society and lives

No price range?

[–] Gbagginsthe3rd@aussie.zone 17 points 2 years ago

Might need to borrow that later
