People like hearing about themselves

Fun fact: That famous Oatmeal comic about Tesla blatantly plagiarizes from a biography when describing the "Edison buying pets to electrocute" incident. I have no idea if people have talked about that or if it's old hat, I just happened to read that biography a long time ago and recognized the phrasing.

And now I need to go back and listen to that other video on the AVGN plagiarism thing to see if HB stole from it

Why the fuck is this 4 hours? Does infinite Patreon money not get him a fucking script editor?

Biden has done worse than Kamala could ever aspire to, though not for lack of trying, so I think they feel secure in knowing their base has been trained into a short attention span.

This is a very Mao thing, he hated people being too obsessed with reading and quoting rather than understanding and exploring. I don't think it's especially representative of modern China though, which has moved back towards the bourgeois memorization fetishism

Because that's the way to get ghouls to pay a ludicrous amount of money for it

You know that that's not how this works, right? The bulk of the population is paid at a rate that is just this side of starving because it's the least that the capitalists possibly could pay them and still have people working for them. Something like this, i.e. an expansion of working hours, would mean nothing in the long term but the ability to pay workers less because "they can just supplement it with their sleep job" which will probably pay not very much either, looking at how little gig economy work really pays.

The two statements are not incompatible.

Pigs at least are very close. Cows less so, though that doesn't mean industrial slaughter is okay. Idk about sheep.

Idk if it's relevant but it's not that strange in rural settings to have a bunch of dogs, not that that's the case here. Just that a family having many dogs isn't so bizarre.

God, that's like a step away from a Japanese Association of Happy Whaling.
