Putin wanted Ukraine to denazify since before the invasion and has stated as much. If you look at the actual Minsk Accords, they aren't demanding the ousting of the Ukrainian government. What Putin does care about are the literal Nazi paramilitary-turned-military who were spearheading the attacks on Donbas for eight years. The banderites are a real problem in Ukraine for many reasons and represent a political problem to Russia, it makes perfect sense for denazification of Ukraine to be a sincere demand, though obviously Russia doesn't give a shit about denazifying itself beyond occassional checks on the actual ethnonationalist political movements (like Navalny, Rest In ~~Power~~ Piss)
But the war is here now, and I think the only thing keeping your average Ukrainian from living in a war zone is western arms shipments, and tbh that's the only argument that I find really resonates with me.
What are you smoking to accept this broken logic? The ukrofascists having infinite resources is the main thing keeping Ukrainians in a warzone. If they are cut off, the Russians overrun them and the war is over.
What matters isn't the intellectual or moral credibility of the law, just that it's on the books and can be used to pursue modern goals. Explaining these things in terms of credibility or intelligence is missing the point, which is christofascism.

I think you are thinking of yourself as being static and unchanging relative to this new turn. You have changed and you will keep changing. If communism is what you believe in, then there's nothing stopping you from making yourself into more of a communist.
I think most elements of most premodern societies were significantly religious, so there are some other biases involved in that.
Guy DeBord was a Marxist-ish French intellectual [I just looked it up and don't think he's a suspected pedophile] best known for "Society of the Spectacle", which I believe was the work that mentioned "augmented subsistence" or whatever it's called. The broader subject of the book is how social signification by association produces a circumstance in which people, to put it in our terms, live by financing a larp so that they may be perceived (including by themselves) as fitting a certain image, so "augmented subsistence" or etc. would fit in as the social enforcement of a certain degree of this larping (and therefore the purchase of costumes and props for it) in order to accomplish much more base tasks of survival because the enclosure of the commons means that what you need to do to accomplish basic things is, at an atomic level, at the mercy of the capitalists.
