first-time

They really do get especially insufferable when they realize they're wrong so they have to completely fall back on the platitudes and thought terminating cliches.

WE HAVE TO SAVE DEMOCRACY!

(editor's note: the character in question is in the process of making the call on who wins the election, but she's sad because it's the end of democracy)

There's nothing more Biden could've done to help Israel kill Palestinians than what he's done in the past 8 months. There is physically no way that the genocide is gonna "get worse under Trump." We're already giving bombs and money to Israel faster that they can use them, and there is no act of depravity that will turn either the Democratic or Republican parties away from unrelenting support of the genocide.

You want to come up with a line of reasoning that absolves you for cheerleading for genocide, but history will show that every American that voted for either one of these geriatric demons was more interested in maintaining their treats than applying pressure to their political establishment to end the genocide. You're no better than a German cheering on the Freikorps, and asking the ghosts of the dead communists to voot against Hitler.

What about Project 2025 are you concerned about specifically, that is an achievable goal? Besides the whole "replace everyone in all parts of government with a 19 year old groyper" part which the GOP has been trying to do for forever anyway, pretty much all of Project 2025 is what Biden is already doing. Ending asylum and deporting everyone? Check. Arresting dissenters? Check. Blank check to Israel and more funding to prisons, the MIC, all the rotten aspects of America? Check. Limiting access to healthcare for trans people? Check. Restricting abortion? Check. Dismantling climate legislation? Check. Busting unions? Check.

Only thing that's actually different here is that Dems do it behind your back while Republicans have a base with enough lead in their brains to think those are good things.

I would argue that telling zionists to [redacted] themselves is the diametric opposite of breaking community rules. It's fulfilling the law, putting it into practice in its full spirit.

The vast majority of the Tumblr libs who love solarpunk yogurt ads would hate this because it's in China.

All 39 were dressed in identical black shirts and sweat pants, brand new black-and-white Nike Decades athletic shoes, and armband patches reading "Heaven's Gate Away Team" (one of many instances of the group's use of the nomenclature of the fictional universe of Star Trek).

There's at least 4 layers of decoding necessary to parse this post.

Nah I think what set BMF apart was not so much the jargon, but assuming that the reader could keep up with immense amounts of subtext and implied meaning; usually their posts were long sequences of quotations followed by replies that imply several layers of contradicting and layered cultural criticisms, which you could only keep up with if you synchronized your mind to theirs in a fundamental way.

I think if I just continue cooking my mind with enough Brace rants I'll eventually become a good version of BMF

Exactly, it's basically been reduced down to just the aesthetics which can be readily repackaged and recuperated. It's a floating signifier, waiting for a brand to attach to and be capitalized on. But since there's something fundamentally good at its core, I still see value in it.

Cottagecore was a lesbian aesthetic about escaping heteronormative society and going off grid. It got turned into a tradwife aesthetic about neo lebensraum. Solarpunk is similar, but the way it gets coopted is via green capitalism washing away the revolutionary parts of solarpunk and replacing them with consumerism of the eco friendly variety.

IMO it's good at its roots but can be easily coopted, it's like cottagecore in that sense.
