I mean more that it doesn't show the local posts as anyone can still view them when they are not logged in.

It would be great if it only just let logged in users view the site and not mess with the federation settings.

Yeah, 0.18 really helps with server federation timeouts but no captcha is insane. Can you just disable signups temporarily until the next version is out?

So I brought back just over a kg of Kava from Fiji. Damn, after a few wines it's a great thing to have so you don't get too drunk instead. Just makes you chilled out but not paranoid like weed does to me.

Nice! I have a windows based handheld Ayaneo 2 but I ended up installing Chimera OS which is basically a linux clone of SteamOS and it's way better without worrying about windows breaking things etc... So far the game compatibility is great as it uses Proton like the steam deck. Handheld gaming is fantastic as you can sit on the couch like using a switch but then dock it to your tv etc... and it's like a console.

Pretty sure mlem and memmy don't support notifications yet (In saying that, the speed of app development is insane and nearly there! Within a few weeks they have gone from basic scrolling apps to loads of new features). I get them using a browser and they popup while scrolling.

I was once like you but got it a few months ago. If you are vaxxed up and the new strains being more mild it’s honestly not that bad. I basically had a sore throat one night and after that I was just tired as fuck but no other symptoms besides a bit of brain fog. Maybe I was just lucky.

It was great as it was warm vs here. I did feel bad and cry a bit at a hotel where two kittens appeared that looked stray but I fed them some of my meal. Then a dog appeared that obviously had puppies due to her teats but I could only do my best. Besides that it was great on an island besides the sea snakes that also go on land…

I don’t have to go back to work until Monday after getting back from a two week holiday in Fiji yesterday. I’m not looking forward to the shit show I come back to as I know it will be a thing and then training a new hire remotely a few days after I get back.

Oh well, I’m currently just enjoying my wine and later me can worry about that.

Edit: It’s also fucking cold here and I want my warm island life back :(

Exactly. In Australia by law they had to block certain websites. All they did was block it via their own dns servers as it’s easy and cheap. All you have to do is use google/Cloudflare etc… for your dns and it works fine. They only care if you get complaints/legal stuff.

I’m surprised some large instances aren’t using Cloudflare. It takes a few minutes to setup and the added benefit of caching alone is worth it. Let alone the bot/ddos protection.
