I think the active users per half month might be a more useful metric than total accounts because that includes all the dead accounts.
My problem is less the nerdy and niche stuff. Because there’s a lot of communities and you can subscribe to what you like.
My problem is more how there’s a lot of debate lords, arseholes, and I’m the smartest in the world types.
But I guess that’s the case on all social media. Really shits on what’s otherwise a nice experience here tho.

Yup. There will always be “traitors”. Just because someone is from an oppressed group doesn’t mean they’ll act in the interests of that group. In fact to get power, you’re often incentivised to do the exact opposite.
This is why we have gay billionaires bankrolling homophobic fascsists, black mayors backing racist police and other policies, disabled congresspeople voting to cut disability payments for those too disabled to work…
The list goes on.

Nice. Mixed land use is way more efficient.
Capitalism’s tendency to sprawl is in part due to disincentivising mixed land use.
It this any different to today. Wars seem fo be fought with grievances and made up or overblown agressions to respond to.
