Also Louisiana calls them Parishes and Alaska calls them Boroughs.

Now I'm interested in how lobotomized people self-describe their experience. That is, the ones that didn't die from surgery complications or suicide, or severe removedation.

Edit: Apparently, most orbital lobotomies in the US were done by a single huckster named Walter Freeman. An orbital lobotomy is when they shove an ice pick through each eye hole. Apparently, Freeman was a showman (freak) and sometimes did both ice picks at the same time with two hands. In front of an audience.

Edit 2: One last thing. Apparently the Soviet Union banned lobotomies before the US and Europe did. Big W. The abstract said something about the soviets "persecuting Jewish psychiatrists" but it doesn't explain what that means and I don't have access to the paper.

My mom was gobsmacked I hadn't seen Notting Hill. She hasn't seen The Notebook. I have them torrented now so we can have a movie night.

Start applying places now (unless you prefer to be unemployed for a bit).

Did you eat enough today? Also, I find that even 15 to 30 minutes of moderate exercise helps me cope with the comedown from meds.

I looked it up, apparently it happens a lot from the cops handcuffing people and it usually goes away eventually (as it did for me). It also was only feeling but I didn't lose any strength/control.

Anyway, I'll be avoiding handcuffs from now on unless they're properly tied rope, fuzzy, or padded. hyperflush

I did that last year! I had a good time except the metal handcuffs made my thumbs lose partial feeling for like 6 months.
