I think suicide protests are okay as long as they're not murdering innocents. Self-immolation has been a way for the unheard to cry out to those who won't listen for millennia. It lays bare the contradictions of empire.

Hard to call this "suicide attack" when nobody else was hurt.

That's honestly high for most prison labor.

Holy fuck these people are dense. Communists and urban planners have been screaming this from the rooftops for 30 years.

Next post: my notes from reading Chapter 1 of Gaza by Dr. Norm Finkelstein. They were very persuasive in a family meeting I presented.

Cool, thanks for the context.

I don't know your setup, but if you have any drive bays open, a 512 or 1tb 3.5" HDD is a great place to back up your drive to. External has a slight price premium. A Seagate 1 TB is $40 or you could get one cheaper used (completely overwrite the drive to avoid viruses if used). Slow reads/writes are fine for a dedicated backup drive.

For backups, the less you have to think about it, the better. With Macrium Reflect (there are other options if you don't like it), I just made a backup definition that does encrypted incremental disk image backups every night at 2am. That way, I just keep my important files in my regular hard drive and they are securely copied every night. Extra security would be a backing up your backup in the cloud, off-site, in case your home burns down.

I also set it to email me if the backup fails due to low disk space.

Solutions that require you to continuously calculate which drive to put stuff on are prone to failure due to inevitable carelessness or forgetfulness. Regular backups of your most important drive are the move.

Oh also I heard of another file copying tool for windows that's really great and freeware. It even works on drives with bad sectors. It's called the unstoppable copier.

Literally I'd say "I'm not coming in to work until you get a negative covid test and wear a mask while you're coughing." Invent an older relative you "can't afford to spread covid to" if you don't have one.

In 4 years if you need a better processor, there are some decent am4 upgrade paths for multi-core performance. Light gaming + browsing + productivity should be great with the 5600x though.
