That’s just another way Biden fucked her over.

Remember all the promises to develop leadership in the DNC during the 2020 campaign? The whole one term stuff? (that while Biden never explicitly said personal was the message going out by his campaign staff.)

Harris was supposed to be the next, and he absolutely didn’t give her the support to do anything.

Biden got his foot in the door then went out of his way to silence any other possible successor and when it finally became clear to him he fucked every thing up; he fucked off to fuckerville.

At that point we needed a candidate to start running pretty much that day. Settling on any other candidate would have taken time we did not have.

By the time that Biden stepped down, there was no time for a primary. (And let’s be honest, that farce ran before wasn’t a true primary.)

She was the only person that could, at the time, get everyone into lockstep with her. She was also competent, experienced and skilled.

Aside from Israel/Palestine, her political positions weren’t particularly offensive either. (She should have thrown Biden under that bus, but I get why she didn’t. Hell. Biden should have dove under for her.)

I would have much preferred another; though they would never have manage as well as Harris did… particularly as Biden gave grudging support for her.

In the context of that moment in time, she was the only person with a chance at beating Trump, and that’s what made her “best”.

Puppy pads typically have scents to attract them to it, so that may be part of the problem.

One thing you can do is move the pad towards the door slowly, like a few yards or even feet a day. They’ve learned “that’s where they go”, so moving it slowly shifts it.

Then start putting it out on the walks

Given the circumstances- she was the best candidate. She did a stellar job cleaning up a campaign that was mired and bogged down in a flaming rubbish pile.

And yes it does seem like there was hellalotta cheating going on.

Ultimately she had 90 days or so to go against a douche who’s been campaigning and retconning his image for the four years prior.

The loss is not her fault. I place that entirely at Biden fucking shit up and holding on far too long.

All of that said- she absolutely shouldn’t be the ‘28 candidate. I’m pissed that she conceded before it was even official, and when there was clearly some question. They didn’t even look into it. (Smoke doesn’t always mean fire, but you’re an idiot if you don’t check.)

Then she disappeared as the US turned to shit and comes out with a book deal?!

Sorry. Nope. I respect what she did, but that doesn’t mean she’s the best option next time.

The vasectomies are usually reversible. It’s not a non issue as it’s usually expensive and not covered by insurance, and it’s not 100% every case, but it can be done.
