I don't know that one. Use it in a sentence that's between three and seven words long.

It's not a lost word like dotard, but ive always liked referring to him as braggadocios. People don't say that word aloud much at all.

From 2017:

"In his bellicose statement Thursday, Kim also repeatedly referred to Trump as a "dotard" — an arcane term for a senile or weak-minded elderly person.

"I will surely and definitely tame the mentally deranged U.S. dotard with fire," Kim said.

That was a fun moment in the dotard's first term.

One controls the flue, another controls the damper. The rest are just there to look cool and hang tools from.

I'm all in on no limits for free speech. The government's job is to provide services, not determine and police morality. And hate speech does not have a concrete definition, so it's a moving target (the government could define talking shit about Republicans as hate speech and make it illegal, for example). I don't like Nazis or racism or homophobia, but i like the idea that you are legally allowed to say nazi, racist or homophobic shit and I can hear it and choose to shun you.

I'm glad Canada is there for you with their rules if that makes sense to you. Not everybody has to agree with no limits on free speech -- plenty of places to live with mostly free-ish speech laws.

Is that a fact? Well, maybe i'll give that a shot if it's easy enough. Thanks for the heads up.

Ubuntu is what I was endeavoring to install.

I googled all sorts of things to no avail. Now, software solutions seem moot because it wont power on or even charge.

I should google "how to charge a laptop battery when it's removed" or "do new laptop batteries come pre-charged" ... I feel like if I can get some juice, i can reset the bios to default and hopefully undo my power issue. Then, i can start this whole thing over again with extra caution.

The Stones could write one hell of a catchy, riff, hook, and chorus tho. Their sloppy musicianship (im being generous) is part of their charm.

Im sure they invented a sound as much as any of the other groups that get credited with that nonsense.

God damn, i've never seen a comment that was more fucking correct than this. Bravo.

Man... I get it. I've changed at least five windows machines to Linux in the past. This past fall, I was switch my HP spectre to Linux and bricked the fucking thing.

All of the security windows shit meant a bunch of bios changes, then out of nowhere it wouldnt charge the battery.

No idea how to fix it now that the battery and/or laptop won't recognize the power plugged into any of the usbc ports. Ive tried different chargers, different outlets, and leaving it plugged in for 24 hours, but no life at all. No power means I cant restore to default bios, and Linux wouldnt install because once I was done fucking with the security, i didnt have enough battery to complete the install.

It's fucking embarrassing.

I then gave up and upgraded to a gaming laptop with a 5070ti, but I'd love to resurrect that old one if anybody has any tips.

A lot of what you say seems true. I'm still voting straight ticket democrat in every election until Trump and the various MAGA iterations are out of office. Even for dinky local elections; Township Comptroller? Fuck the Republican candidate. Uncontested Republican? I'm writing in Barack Obama. If you're running as a republican, you've lost my vote.

I think it's all very interesting, and glp-1s could be a very helpful tool in the fight against obesity.

The skinny people I know well dont think about food in the same way that I do. When I diet, it's very similar to a panic attack when i think about food but deny myself. My brain perseverates over that food, and very rarely can I stop the perseveration by ignoring or through mindfulness exercises. My understanding is that glp-1 essentially fixes this problem, and that really would be a game changer for me. I've lost 80lbs without glp-1s and put the weight back on -- twice.

Then we consider how simply losing weight reverses chronic health issues even without exercise, and a great case is made in favor of treating obesity with glp-1s without stigma. I would be willing to stay on glp-1s, even a microdose, for life to keep the food noise at bay and maintain a healthy weight.

We just need to get the cost of the medication way down so it's widely accessible.
