I hope so, but I'm scared to get my hopes up.
Bizarrely it says this was cross-posted to this same community.. However that post seems to be hidden from this community's post list. I don't understand how that happened, but since most of the discussion seems to be happening on that post I would recommend going there to comment.
You're right, but I've heard a lot of other people say the same. I've also played it on both an LCD and OLED deck, and found that different settings both looked better (in my opinion) and had fewer fps drops.
I'd be worried that picking jellyfish might cause you to lose your brain as well. Which would be pretty inconvenient outside of preparing you for a career in politics.
As far as I know, the deck's screen doesn't actually support VRR. It's only an option for external monitors.
Yeah agreed, I thought this was serious enough to warn people about.
I had to completely uninstall Decky Recorder before I could load into desktop mode, just having it disabled wasn't enough for some reason.
Some other games have this too, I know Cyberpunk and the Witcher 3 both come with a Steam Deck preset. I think I heard the First Descendent and Horizon Zero Dawn do too, but I'm not sure.
My experience with Cyberpunk was that the Steam Deck preset was a good starting point, but wasn't actually an ideal way to play the game. Hopefully the Helldivers one will be better tuned.
To be honest, I thought this was spam for a moment until I checked your post history and realized you're the motor town guy. I guess it's been too long since I played Oblivion for me to not immediately recognize the reference.
Oh, good to hear they repealed that law.
There are actually some legal movements to reduce unnecessary knife laws, because a lot of them are based around the idea of 50s punks and don't make actual logical sense.
But yeah, it depends entirely on the state. The only knife laws in my state is you can't conceal carry a Bowie knife, but all other knives (OTF, automatics, balisongs, etc) are legal.
The jackbox megapicker issue was apparently corrupting decks bad enough that you had to reinstall SteamOS through a recovery drive to fix it. Thankfully the decky plugin issue is much less serious.
