It seemed heavy at first, but I don't really notice the weight at all anymore. I find it much more comfortable to play than a lighter handheld like the switch, ergonomics are more important than weight imo.

It outsold all expectations and was successful enough that it brought several traditional PC makes (Asus and Lenovo) into the market.

It's obviously sold less than established consoles, but it's done well for itself. Also even though it's a small percentage of steam users, it seems to represent some of the more active players/spenders on steam. Thanks to that, steam deck players seem to be an actually significant percentage of steam sales for many games despite the lower number of steam deck players.

You're approaching this from the wrong direction.

A lot of people who live in unsafe situations/locations buy a gun to try to protect themselves. It's not that buying a gun makes you more likely to be shot, but rather that people who are already likely to be shot buy guns.

It's platinum rated on ProtonDB, so it probably runs great. Sounds like there's even a native Linux version.

Good list, lot of good games there.

Jamestown+ is supposed to work if you put force_compat_profile=true %command% in launch options, but I only own the original Jamestown so I haven't tried it.

For controller order, have you tried reordering the controllers in the steam UI?

When you press the QAB (the "..." button), one of the menus there should have a "reorder controllers" button if any extra controls are connected. By switching those around you should be able to change which controller is which for whatever game is running. I've used this with other emulators in game mode successfully.

Last I checked, the Sopuli admin said that running his instance cost pocket change, $20-30 a month. That might have been before the explosive growth though.

I do think he had a donate link to buy them coffee though.

This is my first time seeing Yanko Designs, so they haven't made the best first impression.

Control is really good, I beat it earlier this year.

I have Alan Wake and Quantum Break in my library, going to try to play them later once I catch up on some other parts of my backlog.

The article could be, but the images definitely aren't.

It worked, I was successfully baited.

Part of the problem is that concept art needs to be flashy to be noticed, but most usability focused designs are plain or very similar to existing designs.
