I wonder if the success of Baldur's Gate got them to rush to get an announcement trailer together earlier than originally planned.

There are some movies/websites that don't work well with Chromecast. Being able to play them on my steam deck while docked is often the easiest way to play them.

Windows Caffeinated: Keeps your PC from sleeping.

Windows already keeps itself from sleeping in my experience, I'd rather have an app that makes it actually go to sleep and stay asleep without randomly waking up.

POP SKINS makes some really cool looking ones in my opinion. Here's their amazon page, I'm not sure if they have a web page.

Before ifixit official sold Steam Deck parts, all the prices got leaked and the motherboard was sold for $350. When they officially started selling steam deck parts the motherboard was no longer included, but that's unsurprising if that one part is going to sell for so much when a 64GB deck is only $400.

On Linux, most programs are available pre-compiled through your package manager. However if you wanted a package that wasn't already available for your specific family of distros, you would usually have to compile it yourself. It's not that hard to do, but it does take awhile on install and every update after.

Flatpak (as well as snap and appimage) fix this by being more universal, a flatpak program can be installed on any distro that flatpak is available for.

There are downsides to flapaks though, and not everyone likes them. But if you want an app that's not available through conventional means and you don't want to use flatpak/snap/etc, compiling from source may be the only choice left.

And they come with the same warranty coverage as the regular steam deck, which should make them safer to buy than most refurbished products.

A smaller screen probably helps reduce the chance of motion sickness.

Huh, did you have of the settings changed in Power tools?

I have Power tools installed and haven't had any issues.

People find the delta fan to have an annoying whine, so if you have that fan you may want to swap it out with a Huaying fan that's less whiny.

You can check which fan you have in steam deck settings or by going to https://store.steampowered.com/account/hardwareused

Yeah, that's about as far as I got with that method.
