There is a mod for paper/bukkit servers called geyser that lets bedrock players play on a Java Minecraft server. Not the solution you're looking for, but worth knowing about.

Yeah, I've had my number reported as spam before from someone impersonating my number, and I've run into several customers through work whose numbers had been reported as spam as well. I've also gotten calls from people who supposedly missed a call from me, that I had never called before. Most likely they missed a spam call that was impersonating my number.

Thankfully it wasn't too hard to get off of the spam call registries, and you can even preemptively register your number with them as a non-spam number to try to avoid getting caught in this. But it's still frustrating to have to deal with this at all, and it's far too difficult to realize your phone number has been flagged as spam. The people you frequently talk to probably have you added as a contact and will never get a chance to see you've been flagged as spam. And if you call anyone new, they probably won't answer your call because it shows up as spam. End result is you just have trouble getting in touch with people you haven't already swapped contacts with, and never get a good chance to learn why.

Remember having a demo of this game that came with a magazine demo disk, and spending hours with a friend driving a car off a big ramp and watching it wreck.

Probably won't hold up to my foggy memories of that demo, but I'm looking forward to trying the game for real after all these years.

Cruze has had a lot of self driving issues.

Waymo also has some human operators for if their cars run into issues, but they report that one ops team member is able to cover multiple vehicles.

Usually to use an amp meter like that, you also need one of these: https://a.co/d/d7qb5pj

But for $12 you can buy a plug with a screen that will record power usage, which would be even easier and cheaper. https://a.co/d/bj4U2hA

You can, but you would be better off buying something like this:

Upgraded Watt Power Meter Plug Home Electrical Usage Monitor Consumption, Energy Voltage Amps Kill Tester with Backlight, Overload Protection, 7 Modes Display https://a.co/d/bj4U2hA

Sorry you ran into some trouble, but it's good to hear you didn't lose your desktop stuff.

Right pad is frequently a mouse, often worth using a trackpad mouse for menu/inventory management.

The trackpads are huge for PC games with a lot of inputs, but can also be used for communication. There's a lethal company control scheme that uses the trackpads to 1-click type the console commands to navigate to moons/view players on monitor/etc. I have a Deep Rock Galactic profile that uses the left trackpad as a mini keyboard to type "r", "gg", "wait", and a few other frequently used communications.

In any games that support quicksaving I usually have some quicksave/quickload options in a menu on the left trackpad.

My fingers naturally rest on the back buttons, and I find them really easy to use. I usually have them set to mirror the face buttons for shooters (so I don't have to take my finger off of the right stick to jump/reload/etc). In some other games I have them set as dpad buttons (Elden ring for example) to swap gear and use items.

Finally I don't like button mashing, so in games where you have to mash a button I will often set the back buttons to be turbo buttons, where I can hold to spam a key.

Welcome to Lemmy! I haven't actually heard of this issue before, I generally recommend not using offline mode though. My personal experience is that most games run fine in online mode without internet.

For fixes, I'd try going to power > change account, and see if it will let you log in again. You might want to try an ethernet connection as well if you have a dock handy.

You might also try swapping to the previous steam OS partition, you can do this by holding the QAM button (". . ." button) while you turn on the device, and selecting the second option.

If you end up needing a reset, you can try just reinstalling steam OS first without wiping your user data. That's an option when using a recovery drive.
