So unfortunately I don't think ROCM supports the deck's APU, and it's too different for it to work by faking that it's a different GPU.

You can still do stable diffusion in CPU mode, but that will take 5-20 min per image (vs 7 seconds per image on my desktop's 6600 XT).

Overall it's not worth it unfortunately. As an alternative you might look into running stable diffusion through Google colab, which is a good way to get custom generation going for free.

Yeah, I can definitely get that being expected to create content regularly wears you out. I wouldn't personally enjoy the life of a content creator, some days I just want to be quiet and have minimal interaction.

It's an extremely popular platform for kids, and I think anything that will get kids trying Linux instead of windows is something we should want working.

Seems like for any topic that Gemini talks about, it always tries to take a middle ground and list pros and cons for both sides.

This is probably Google trying to avoid controversy, but instead they made it sound ridiculous for stuff that's got a clear moral answer. It's very similar to how they tried to force diversity in image generation prompts, and by trying to make socially acceptable outputs they instead made the results ridiculous and clearly wrong.

I haven't used it myself, but it is supposed to be possible to use Unity Mod Manager in Linux as long as you use assembly mode.

Pretty nice design

Yeah, according to price history it's been at $8 for years now.

I can usually fix most cases of joystick drift by taking plastic safe electrical cleaner, and spraying it in around the joystick. Works for sticking buttons too.

I usually use CRC QD cleaner, it's usually $5-10 and is available at Walmart, Amazon, and a bunch of other places. If you use something else make sure it says plastic safe on the can.

I use this ivoler dock. It works well, is very cheap, and has a larger deck slot than most other docks so you can use a deck in a case with it (Spigen and Jsaux mod cases both work, although the modcase's kickstand gets in the way a little).

The only downside is that it doesn't have an Ethernet port. This wasn't a concern for me (I get strong wifi where I'm at, and have a USB Ethernet adapter if I need it), and I wanted a cheaper dock over one with Ethernet.

That's a really good article, and it does a good job of highlighting the issues with modern day search results.

I've been guilty to use "best x" pages before, but if the website with the "best of page" doesn't have specific reviews linked I usually look up individual product reviews for the good sounding items on other websites.

Reddit has long had an issue with confidently providing false statements as fact. Sometimes I would come along a question that I was well educated on, and the top voted responses were all very clearly wrong, but sounded correct to someone who didn't know better. This made me question all the other posts that I had believed without knowing enough to tell otherwise.

Llms also have the same issue of confidently telling lies that sound true. Training on Reddit will only make this worse.
