Always enjoy his April fools Day videos.

I do think that the one about getting into his ex-girlfriend's backdoor is the best one though

Yeah, their original coverage was good, but they also had a really good follow up today.

still bouncing between elden ring and cyberpunk

I feel that, those two are permanently installed on my deck because I'm not finished with them, but I'm always caught up playing other things instead.

I don't have a PS5, so I can't offer great advice.

The chiaki webpage has a section on controller troubleshooting, but it's only talking about using a DS4 and not a DS5. Still probably worth checking out though.

As my main game, I'm still trying to finish Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth. Great game, with a huge amount of stuff to do.

On the side, I've recently played through Subliminal and Manifold Garden, which were both great experiences. I also picked up EDF 4.1 from the $1 tier of the EDF Humble Bundle, and have been playing it split screen on the TV with one of my sons. The game requires GPU frequency pinning to get a steady framerate, but otherwise runs well and is a lot of fun.

There's the Deckmate, which lets you connect the deck to different monitor mounts. I've seen people put a monitor mount with a swivel arm on the wall above their bed and clip their Deck to it, to play in bed without having to hold the deck up. You could also use the deckmate as a foundation for attaching altermative holding methods to the back. Any method that gives you a good handle on the center back of the deck should be better for touchscreen play. They provide 3d printer files so this can be a nearly free solution if you have a 3d printer.

A popsocket on the back might work as a cheaper alternative to that, but I'd be worried about dropping the deck since I doubt the popsocket is very strong. Should be fine if you're just wanting to use it in your lap though.

You might also be able to use something like this, it's meant to hold a battery pack in a strap on the back of the deck, but you could maybe slide your hand inside the strap to more securely hold the deck from the back.

You could maybe use some kind of tablet rest, but you'll need to make sure the back vents aren't covered.

For anyone who doesn't know, Polybius is an urban legend about a government experiment in the form of an arcade game set up in Portland.

Here's the wiki article.

Polybius is a fictitious 1981 arcade game from an urban legend. The legend describes the game as part of a government-run crowdsourced psychology experiment based in Portland, Oregon. Gameplay supposedly produced intense psychoactive and addictive effects in the player. These few publicly staged arcade machines were said to have been visited periodically by men in black for the purpose of data-mining the machines and analyzing these effects. Supposedly, all of these Polybius arcade machines then disappeared from the arcade market.

It's a fun tale though, and there are some good articles and video essays on it.

From what I understand, they already try to sell you nitro if you already have nitro. So I doubt they'll exclude these.

Idk if it's true or not, but I heard the recent form of the flat earth movement started out as more of a "challenge and verify everything" movement. It wasn't that they actually thought the earth was flat, that was just meant to be an example of how they were going to take even the most widely accepted theories and confirm their truth before believing them.

And then it attracted a lot of crazy people who actually thought the earth was flat, and completely changed the movement.

It's set up like it's in favor of tipping landlords, but the concept is ridiculous, and so are many of the "reasons" the person can't afford it. The whole thing is a form of humor through absurdity.

I love physical books, but ebooks are so convenient. Always having a book, being able to comfortably read one handed, and being able to read in the dark after my wife goes to sleep are all things that significantly increase how often I can read.

Memes die when they become too widely spread and your elderly relatives start using them wrong on Facebook. People like porn memes because they have a little extra shock value, and will never be ruined by aunt Gertrude using it.
