Everything is a little nicer. I don't think it's worth it for most people to upgrade though.

The only thing that would truly make it worth it (imo) is the improved battery life. If you like playing really demanding games on the go (Baldur's Gate, Cyberpunk, etc), the OLED gets ~2.5 hours of battery life while the original deck gets ~1.5. That's a huge improvement, and is the main thing that could justify the OLED deck imo.

Yeah, the Z1 chips mostly out perform the deck by throwing more power at the chip, which isn't great for a handheld with limited battery capacity.

We'll get there eventually, but I think x86 to arm support is still too far out.

I think with games getting more demanding, they will have to release a more powerful Deck in the next 2-4 years, probably closer to 2.

Unlikely unfortunately, they don't currently offer replacement motherboards at all.

When the ifixit repair parts initially leaked, they had a replacement motherboard available but priced at $350. Later when ifixit officially started ordering repair parts, the motherboard was no longer available.

My guess is that it wasn't worth selling the motherboard for $350 when a 64gb deck was only $400. I'd imagine the same issue would apply to an "upgrade" motherboard.

DRG Survivors is a "Survivor like", just like Brotato. It's a spin off game of the Deep Rock Galactic game, and is a fully offline and solo-player experience.

Main difference between it and other games in the genre is that there's cave walls you can dig through. The enemies in the game generally feel stronger than they do in most other games like it, so you have to plan escape routes and kite properly to survive.

Honestly it feels like "1/2AA Battery" should just be an "A battery"

Both are great games. I saw someone recommend Deep Rock Galactic Survivors as a followup to Brotato, and I would like to second that recommendation.

Some of my favorite games that are somewhat similar to Slay the Spire are Slice & Dice, Dicey Dungeons, and Card Quest. All of them also have phone versions.

Slice & Dice is amazing, I've been playing it for literal years. The mix of risk taking with the dice rolling and being able to combine different characters and items to break the game is incredibly satisfying.

Dicey Dungeons is by the same guy who made VVVVV and Super Hexagon. It's another Dice based crawler, much simpler in mechanics than Slice & Dice but still super fun with really catchy music. It's a testament to how good Slice and Dice is that this isn't the best Dice game available.

Card Quest has the lowest art/etc budget of all the games listed, but makes up for it with really smart game play. At first it seems absolutely brutal, but it's that you're not being smart enough with your moves. Unlike other deck builders, you're expected to figure out how to chain your cards to take zero damage every turn. But the interplay of balancing multiple resources, card draws, and more. It's the kind of game where every single action you take feels like a miniature puzzle to be solved. I actually played this before Slay the Spire, and it made StS turns feel really low option/low complexity in comparison.

According to the original Riot post, 1 in 15 games has a cheater, and in some regions it's 1 in 5 games.

But valorant has the same kernel anticheat, and has rampant cheating. So I don't think the new anticheat will actually help.

To be fair, I think the backdoors they're referring to would be ones meant to allow Linux users to play.

But with Riot being owned by a Chinese company, I suspect there are plenty of backdoors to go around.

I mean, that's kinda a risk with any ED medicine from what I understand. All of those kind of medicines have warnings about if you have an erection lasting more than x hours that you need to immediately see a Dr. When you're erect, the blood is trapped in your penis, and if it's trapped for too long it can cause tissue damage and tissue death.

So it's a risk with all/most ED medicines, just significantly more of a risk with spider bites.

The researchers are testing a new drug derived from the venom of the Brazilian wandering spider (Phoneutria nigriventer), also called the banana spider because it is sometimes accidentally exported in banana shipments. It is one of the most toxic species of spiders in the world.

Among other symptoms — including increased blood pressure, nausea, abdominal cramps and convulsions — this spider's bite can cause a "prolonged and painful erection, which can lead to necrosis of the penis," meaning death of its tissues

Sounds fun
