All good, don't worry about it.
I wasn't able to find an original, but I would assume it was either talking about the fact that they're crustations and not bugs, or talking about the different regional names for them (roly poly, pill bug, potato bug, etc)
1G uma buffer is the default setting, usually 4G is the modified setting people use.
Testing on a LCD deck would make sense too, but as long as they're doing before and after tests on the same device it should still highlight improvements fine. The LCD deck might not have the exact same performance change as the OLED, but if the OLED gets nearly 50% more frames the LCD will probably be pretty close.
Thanks!
I'm confused, did you think this was a discussion on monitors?
Well that sounds pretty good, I'll probably check that out. I never got to finish TotK because my kids are always wanting the switch. If I can get it running well on my deck that'll help a lot.
I'm assuming you use the low preset with Ryujinx?
Yeah, I never got my copy of TotK to run well enough on my deck to be worth playing over the switch version. I've heard other people claim it runs good, so I don't know if they're using better settings than me, if they have lower standards, or if they don't have it on switch to compare performance.
This idea seems laughable for big AAA games/studios, but I don't actually hate the idea for smaller indie devs. Especially since some indie games are so dirt cheap.
Also, after the whole big N mess...how's the Switch emulation these days?
It's still solid, but battery life will be terrible compared to native options.
I've seen people get Stardew down to 3.8w on the original deck for 10+ hours. Think it requires tweaking CPU settings with Power tools though.
I was never able to get DeckMTP to work unfortunately. When it first came out I was on a beta build of steam OS and it didn't work. I figured it was because I was on a newer build, and figured it would eventually be fixed, but it was still broken whenever I tried it.
That's worse than I expected. The game's art style alone will likely earn it some points, the fact that scores are this low with the art style probably means the game underneath has some real issues.
