He isn't wrong but at the same time that's doing a disservice to not only Mick but also someone like Alex who has made his comeback run with Williams after being tossed around at Red Bull....
For all the calls to put Mick in the seat I'd ask why Toto, an often vocal supporter of getting Mick back on the grid, hasn't filled the Mercedes vacancy with him? I think the truth many fans don't want to accept is that the team principles just don't rate him as highly as the fans do, even with his success in other series.
In a way it's sad but it's the nature of F1.

There is zero need for monetization and corporate bullshit to infiltrate Lemmy. People see an opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a newer social media and are quick to stink it up with the same old shit. Fuck that, I'm sick of it.
Lemmy does not have to be a carbon copy of the worst parts of the internet to survive. It is not a requirement to be a reddit clone or a cash generator or be profitable to be usable.
I saw, I was just venting frustration at that specific viewpoint.

Not quite as bad as the record high attack 2 days ago, but still a big attack by the Russians.
It breaks my heart for the innocent people who can't do things many of us take for granted. Sleeping comfortably in your own bed without the sound of AA countermeasures and explosions would be one example.
Russia has made it clear that they will target civilians and population centers, consequences be damned. It must be exhausting to live through that. It can't end soon enough.
World news outlets are reporting another huge attack overnight so I suspect we'll see another post like this tomorrow. I'm curious to see the air defense report for today/last night.
It seems like it can happen with mentions too. Pretty much anything that hits the notification pages is prone to getting stuck unless I spam click mark all read. Even closing and reopening the app won't clear the notifications even after the notifications have been seen.
This is pretty much my experience except sometimes I have to spam click the mark all read button before it works.
It's been interesting to see the "shine" come off as his incredible run of success in F1 falters a little bit. I think Toto is a decent person and also a very emotional person. For a while all he really let us see was happiness or anger. After a few years of struggling to get back to the front Toto seems to be much more willing to show his feelings in real time instead of through carefully worded statements to the press.
It's been a good thing imo. It's cool to see team principles, owners, etc being a part of the team as fans and real people, not LinkedIn versions of people. Not that my opinion matters but it makes F1 more fun to watch when you see the people at the top just as hooked in as we are. Clumsy Zak Brown high fives make me laugh just as much as a Toto stink eye.
