I’m already noticing “cultural” differences between the different instances, almost like they’re virtual countries with their own traditions, but still able to see and talk to each other
It’s beautifully chaotic and open, like the Internet should be!
Could one move instances while retaining their own post / comment history? That’s the part that I’m unclear on (new reddit refugee here)
I tested the waters at several sites:
they actually do populate automatically with microblog posts (from Mastodon for example) if you add relevant tags

My personal verdict is cautious optimism. I think with all the systems that they showed from the ship customization to base building to the lighting engine with the beautiful sunsets, I think it has a potential to be an incredible game. The only thing that gives me pause is Bethesda‘s earned reputation of fairly buggy games at launch. I have no doubt Starfield will be a good game in the long term, but my question is just what’s it gonna be like at launch?
