Germany also had a ton of oil based central heating. Most of those systems are going to transition to wood pellet heating. Maybe a little also to heat pumps. But common wisdom currently still is that heat pumps require suitably built houses to make sense. I wonder how much if that is just fossile fuel propaganda and how much is technically true.

Der einfache Millionär ist fast schon Mittelschicht. Leute, die mit einem Partner zusammen auf 4k bis 5k kommen halte ich für obere Arbeiterklasse, nicht Mittelschicht.

You can buy modern wood gasifiers as central heating options. They are efficient and clean, but unfortunately more expensive than simpler options. I would have quite liked one myself, but the 8k € surcharge over the cheaper option went over my budget. Fore mobile applications: too bulky and heavy.
Probably the only real answer here is: ignore hydrocarbons, their age has come and is waning. Going fully electric with better storage removes pretty much all troublesome steps and leaves only muchore efficient processes.
Hasn't always worked. Otherwise intel would have died in the 80s and Microslop would never have made it big.
