NT here. Usually, it's more or less whatever.

What has been going on lately, are you working on something specific? What're your hobbies like, etc.

It depends on familiarity with that person, and it depends on what I think that person would be into. I'd love to grok out over games I've played recently, but not everyone is into that, so I assess the situation first. My wife is also NT and she's mostly the same. She wants to grok out over all her pencils, markers, paints and other art stuff.

I usually keep the grokking out to my youtube channel :P

I guess you could classify these things as "small talk", but I like knowing what my friends are doing and what's going on in their lives.

I saw someone else mention they talk mostly about other people, but I don't necessarily do that too much. At least not in the gossipy way.

If you have any more questions, hit me up :)

Completely agree! It makes for a game that's still super healthy to this day, and I love that

Paraphrasing from Frost here; It's the "stop killing games" movement, Yves. It's not the "stop games from dying"-movement.

It's fine if you no longer want to support a game, but you can still make it available offline if you have a lan. Trackmania is a good example, since ubi now owns that. The original is still being played in lans the world over!

So yeah, fuck you, Ubi. It's a choice to be like this.

This is damn clever!

Hmm. You just had me thinking if that's true or not. I think money is an interesting thing. Inherently, it has no value, it's not rare, it's not useful. It is only useful because we as a society believe that it now has value. But that's more of a "we all decided that money is now worth something." Like.. a question of definition.

Another is safety. A society that believes they're safe will probably have a lot less tension and infighting than a society that believes they're unsafe.

On the other hand, you might erroneously believe that a bike helmet makes you much safer in traffic, to the point where you may ride more recklessly than otherwise and therefore be less safe than if you hadn't worn a helmet...

Had to double check when I read this. Zoomed in super close, and the second to last panel actually has a veeery faint outline of a new path

Yo, just wanna say, I think you guys are fucking cool! Keep up bettering yourselves! You can do it!

Not to get into it, but I think "Womp Womp" is supposed to be a sound effect conveying that something bad has happened. You might be mistaking it with "Woop woop" which is celebratory.

In the case of "womp womp" though, lots of people are using it sarcastically. Kind of like a "boo hoo, too bad, so sad"-kinda way.. so... While not necessarily celebrating, I don't think they're too upset either.

Connections Puzzle #754 🟦🟩🟨🟪 🟪🟪🟪🟪 🟦🟦🟦🟦 🟨🟨🟨🟨 🟩🟩🟩🟩

For once, I actually managed to understand one. I'm terrible at these normally. Like yesterday's with "Farmer's Tan" and whatever? Couldn't do it. Today, I felt smart :P

Coming from someone who has never watched a single PewDiePie video, other than that one clip you're mentioning...

I'm trying to see the positives here. It's been a while since he said the n-word on that bridge, and right now he seems to be using his platform to do good instead. I want to think that this is a good step towards making up for past mistakes.

But I've got two doubts remaining.

Currently, I'm running Windows 11, but I'd still like the ability to dual boot for certain games which don't necessarily work with Linux for various reasons. Is it possible to move a windows install to a different drive and then install Linux on the main drive instead?

If yes, how do I do it?

Second doubt is if I'll have many issues daily driving Linux if I have an Nvidia card

Hi, guys. I work at a school where we use iPads for music education. We've got a bit of an issue though. Some kids delete other people's music projects, and that obviously sucks.

Is there a way to lock certain files so the kids can give their own files their own password protection or something so nobody gets their stuff sabotaged?

Other creative solutions are appreciated as well!

Thanks guys!

Edit: The music room has a Mac, so thanks to your helpful suggestions, we're gonna try with the AirDrop method where they drop to the host machine that the teacher has access to.

Hi, new here to this instance. Also first post on Lemmy, I guess? Sorry if this is the wrong place. There was no "games"-community here, and I wanted to share with the local instance.

Anyway, wanted to recommend some games I've played recently that are somewhat "furry" in their themes.

  • Pseudoregalia A really fun N64 inspired metroidvania where you play as a goat-lady who has to escape a dream world. Extremely satisfying movement and optional costumes to earn. It's great!

  • Corn Kidz 64 A really fun N64 inspired collect-a-thon where you play as a goat-kid who has to escape a dream world. Extremely satisfying movement and... Uh... They sound really similar now that I write it out, but they're real fun.

  • FUGA: Melodies of Steel Tactical RPG where you control children in a big-ass tank. It takes place during """World War 2""" and sports perma-death for the children. Really dark, but really good too. Sequel recently came out too.
