Alternately, they leave them there until they die and replant them. That just occurred to me and it's the sort of wasteful thing the entertainment industry does.
Hollywood. Raleigh studios. They had them all along the outside.
Great. Capitalism literally makes you stupid.
"I keep sliding my finger and thumb apart and it does nothing except once I ripped the paper!"
I've seen that before and it's just charming, but it doesn't seem all that useful. More of a novelty. The effort it would take would be more than the effort of just using a regular map.
That would be great, but don't put the cart before the horse. While this is an amazing feat both for AI and for the study of human history, it still took tens of thousands of Akkadian text fragments to train it. That's why I made sure to say that it was relatively small. It's a huge number of texts, but nowhere near the vast amount used for a living language.
So does this mean that we will one day be able to translate Linear A into English? Probably not with this technology, but I wouldn't discount the possibility.
Beautiful. My mother always grew them and, growing up in Indiana, they were grown indoors (they're not fans of cold). Then I moved to L.A. and my first day on the job, I see a row of African Violets planted outside the building. I was just stunned.
Thanks. I think what my mother will do is just pick off the affected leaves that are really bad and leave the rest.
Just because I can fly doesn't mean I do it!
No, I absolutely would not do it. I'm happy to enjoy our space exploration vicariously. I'm going to stay with my feet firmly planted on the ground as often as possible. I don't even like being in airplanes.
But good luck to the four. I hope they have the psychological fortitude to not only make it through the claustrophobic nature of the experiment, but the ability to stand each other's company for that long. Of course, it will not have anywhere near the challenges of real Martian exploration, but it will be an interesting experiment nonetheless.
Great! Thanks so much!
We had a grapefruit tree in one backyard and a key lime tree in another in the places where we lived. Never got an orange tree sadly, but there were lots of opportunities to get fresh oranges. Avocados too.
