Actually, the answer is that job growth isn't keeping up with population growth.

The Airy disk is caused by diffraction at the entrance pupil to the lens. Even a perfect lens would be affected. The vitreous humor (which is behind the lens) cannot restore image degradation that already occurred when light passed the pupil.

It doesn't take any energy to fly, if you're made of helium.

So nobody actually noticed the account suspension. And Mamdani made no public statement.

We're just going to believe whatever this one website says.

Not even a day. Three hours.

Because that's how temp bans work. So short it's possible you won't even notice. Really sends a message.

Also, just in case anyone says they follow Mamdani and didn't notice a suspension yesterday.

This story keeps getting more suspicious.

Why would Mamdani make a "private statement" like that? That sounds more like a public statement, but if so there is no record he said it anywhere else in the media.

So, like, he was just casually talking to his buddies about corporate media and someone tipped off this noname nycjournal website? That's not how politics works.

The article smells like BS

The leaked internal memo that nobody has seen?

[–] FlowVoid@lemmy.world 4 points 1 week ago

That story doesn't make sense. If socialism is the reason his account went down then why is it back up? Did Mamdani renounce socialism today?

If the state can prove that he undoubtedly did it, he should be punished.

If the state's case is weak enough to leave some lingering doubts, he should walk.

The defense doesn't have to prove anything. Their job is to cast doubt on whatever the state claims.

That's how our justice system works.

Are any of the photos from the crime scene?

Because if you find a guy who matches "photo of guy getting coffee", you still don't have evidence that he's a killer. You have evidence that he got some coffee.

Ending the Gaza war: Three phase proposal

PHASE ONE

  • It would begin with a six-week ceasefire, during which the IDF would withdraw from populated areas of Gaza
  • Hamas would release "a number" of hostages - including women, the elderly and the wounded - in exchange for hundreds of Palestinian prisoners. Some remains of dead Israeli hostages would be returned to their families
  • Palestinian civilians would return to their homes in all areas of Gaza
  • Humanitarian assistance would "surge", with 600 trucks a day entering the strip, and hundreds of thousands of temporary housing units sent by the international community

During that six week period, negotiations mediated by the US and Qatar would continue. If successful, the next part of the plan would begin.
