Lobbyists run ALL of the parties. Our whole governmental system is controlled by lobbyists. Yay Capitalism.

We used to have them. They were called Crown Corporations and were in the hands of the provinces that they resided in. However, almost all of them have been sold to private companies instead of being maintained as publicly/government owned services. Saskatchewan still has a few left, but there is a push within the Sask Party to sell them out from under the province.
Definitely a garter snake. Little harmless cutie.
I dislike Apple due to their user-hostile business practices. They don't let you install alternate browsers or keyboards (TRULY alternate and not just re-skins of Safari and the iOS keyboard). They don't let you sideload (officially). They don't want you to interface with other phone manufacturers in an equitable way (see the whole blue bubble/green bubble drama). They don't want you to have the freedom to repair your own devices (see the whole right to repair movement).
And so on and so forth. They are nice products and do what they are supposed to with minimal friction. I just cannot support a company that is so blatantly user-hostile.
This should read PROVINCIAL election. Housing policies are the jurisdiction of the provinces. If you think the Premiers are going to tolerate the Feds mucking around in something they perceive as THEIR jurisdiction, there will be a big fight over it. Take this to your Premier, it's their wheel-house.
